What a lovely surprise. Ok, so we booked on Secret rooms so didn't know hotel until we had booked. From check in to check out the whole team were brilliant. I am a fussy devil so I was bowled over by attention to detail and genuine help from the staff. We had a lovely room on 8th floor - for London, it was roomy and in very good order. We used the spa and had treatments. Definitely the best facial i have ever had. Laura Jane is simply superb! I tend not to take breakfast in these hotels as London is full of amazing places to eat - so don't complain about breakfast prices - get out and explore. Covent garden is ten minutes walk away! Great location with staff who really want to help. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Higher floors for better view and rooms on back are quieter

Stay here as its close on one of my offices, good location and easy reach of the tube station and local bars, the room it's self is a little old fashioned and the bathroom is small but hey that's London for you, one thing is the bed is very comfy with good pillow so after a night out with colleagues is nice. Breakfast is good and all people are catered for. One thing that was cheeky I though was they charge you 47p per drink they serve you so when I questioned this they put it down to a serving charge.

My husband bought me a night away in a London hotel and this was an amazing hotel. The staff in every department were really polite and helpful, the location is perfect for shopping on Oxford street and going to the west end. The room was well equipped and even the hair hair dryer was a powerful one which makes all the difference. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to London on either business or pleasure I will be booking again

Room Tip: Every room is a good room

Stayed here again 3 weeks ago - fabulous long weekend - Room is spacious and comfortable beds , sauna and steam in tip top condition , service was truly 5* again as i have always found at this hotel - only thing letting it down was the breakfast which cost £28 ! - cold and all left on the plate and im afraid the waiting staff didn't even question why it had all been left - really let the hotel down as I only eat breakfast when i'm away so a big dissapointment .The same happened n the second morning so i guess this is the norm . It would not stop me from coming here again though as I love the hotel and location is perfect for oxford street , piccadilly , leicester square etc.

This hotel is in an excellent location and within easy reach of the major railway stations by tube. Theatreland, Soho, Covent Garden and Oxford Street are also within walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are a good size but the bathroom is very tiny; my husband and I are not large and even we hade difficulty getting round the door to the sink. There is a great view from the roof and the rooftop bar; however hotel guests are denied access to any part of the roof when the bar has been hired for a function. The continental breakfast menu was limited and the mandarin oranges appeared to be tinned! As with some other reviewers I found it difficult to tell why this hotel had been awarded a 5 star rating when it is compared to other 5 star hotels in the locality.

We stayed here after our wedding, wanting a good hotel in a central location with 24 hour check in. The hotel did not disappoint - I think our room was upgraded because it was a suite and a very good size. The pool and sauna/steam rooms were perfect for relaxing and the staff were all friendly and polite.
The location is perfect for being a tourist in London - Covent Garden, the British Museum are very close plus excellent restaurants.
Overall we were very happy with our stay. Suggestions to improve would be the bathroom, the products available and the strength of the shower as it wasn't that strong, but these are minor points as we were pleased with our hotel choice.

Stayed at the Grange Holburn recently after spending two nights at the brand new and stunning Grange City Hotel which made it some what of a step down to move to the Holburn. It was the flagship Grange hotel and remains well finished and worthy of a 5 star rating. It is a traditional hotel with traditional quality furnishings..in comparision to the ultra-modern Grange City Hotel it appears somewhat dark and somber but we had no concerns over the quality of the bedding and the good size of the room. As our room looked out over the rear courtyard it was very quiet at night. Another great feature is the lovely pool and spa area...very relaxing to come home to after a full day and freshen up with a swim before heading out for the evening. Finally it has an excellent location as it is an easy walk to Soho and Covent Garden or to the shops on Oxford Street.

Room Tip: Request a room on the rear or courtyard to ensure minimum street noise.
