I stay here quite often on business - never thought to provide a review before but this hotel does deserve a recommendation. The hotel rooms are classically furnished and decorated and - to be fair - could probably do with a little refurbishment. BUT for central London the room size is generous with ample bathroom space as well. Front desk, room service and restaurant staff never fail to be helpful and polite - and they smile as well!
Breakfast is served in the Constellation Lounge - a little dated but comfy and well supplied with cereals, juices, continental meats, pastries and a range of cooked dishes - eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, hash browns etc. As good a selection as any well rated European hotel.
I have stayed in other London hotels and not had the warm welcome that the Grange provides for its guests. The only downside is the noise in some rooms from the road outside and what appears to be the distant rumble of the Tube below ground - I don't think it's the air con as some other visitors have mentioned. This is not audible in all the rooms.
I'd choose this great hotel over others in the vicinity every time.More
