cons :
The principal is the price, for a high price like that it is not acceptable that the beds are half done.

Not having water to wash is just not cool especially after a long walk in London.

pros :
The kindness of the persons

Nice hotel, the people in the hotel are very friendly, the location of the hotel is great, near to a lot of underground stations, and a very nice english breakfast in the morning.

I could go on and on about how bad my room was for £160 (yes it was Saturday night ) But I think the shouting and abuse from the night porter takes the biscuit!
Having arrived back to the hotel at midnight with my two children in the pouring rain ( Visited a friend who had just come out of hospital) the 24hr reception was empty!!! Ring the doorbell Ring...Ring,,,Riiiiiinnnnggg knock, Bang, Ring.
At last door open....By a GUEST!!! Help ones self to room key just about to close door when the shouting and abuse started....The night porter?? was soo angry at us being let in he was shouting at the top of his voice at us and then... knocked the door of the lovely lady who had opened the door for us and proceeded to do the same to her.

So if this is the type of treatment you expect from hotel staff (or anyone for that) stay here.
Didn't try the breakfast desperate to leave this awful excuse for a hotel.

Room Tip: DON'T stay here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rooms ar small, but clean. The stairs are narrow and there is no elevator = problem if you have a lot of luggage. The area is nice and the fairly quiet at night. It is an okay hotel for a city week-end trip. Could repaint the walls. Blue and pale yellow does not go very well together... ; )

People should'nt go to a small , cheap, basic hotel if they expect the Ritz ! The Adare is a great place with friendly staff , clean rooms and good breakfast. The chap at reception let me park right outside the place for the whole weekend for £15 , pretty good value for central London !
The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and and good bathroom . The cooked breakfast was more than enough with cereal, toast and fruit juice .
All in all and exellent place for the price, we'll definately go back there.

Room Tip: No 4 , just inside the door so no stairs, gets cleaned first so can check in earlier than 1.00 Good...
