“River Thames Cruise”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

A very nice 11/2 hour trip with very nice views of the properties on the banks also a good
commentary by the crew on who lives in some of them and also of past owners they also explained how the River on a commercial basis works, It was a nice way to spend the time weather was good and the sun shone,we went with our club and a nice day was had by all.
We also had a tour on the tour bus around Windsor the parks out to Eton to have a look at the
College and grounds Oh! the history of it all,a good commentary on the bus as well.

“very dissapointed”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Aparty of four of us booked the memories of sunday for lunch, afternoon tea in july .
The departure point changed twice canary wharf to savoy peir and finally to chelsea pier .this was unfortunate for us as we had booked and paid to stay in canary wharf.
we were allocated a table where one of the four had no veiw whatsoever.
it rained during the afternoon so escaping to the top deckwas not an option.the vessel appeared overcrowded and it was difficult to walk around easily to get to the bar and toilets.
we had a short presentation by the condesending son of the owner who told us how lucky we were to be on the same boat that the queen had used for her jubilee celebrations!
the only bright spot that day was our waitress silvana who tried her hardest to accomadate us.
i can only hope that once they establish a permanent pier and iron out their layout for ease of acccess it will become a memarable experience for the right reasons.

“How very sad to see to see her leave the UK”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

Our trip was September 2011. We spent a wonderful two days on this unique ship. We started the day at 11am with a champagne reception on deck. this was the start of a fantastic day. The food was great, especially the afternoon tea, which was exceptional and on a par with The Ritz. The staff were professional, efficient, helpful and friendly. We were made to feel very special.
Our cabin was beautiful and really well thought out. Everything, as with the rest of the vessel, was of the best quality. This was a perfect base to visit the sites of London. Across the road was the station for the DLR and a five minute walk took us to Canary Wharf. That evening a five minute stroll along the riverside and we were at a great Turkish restaurant recommended by the Chartwell staff.
Once again we had a good nights sleep, the location was so peaceful. Another great thing was that we were able to park the car by the ship's berth.
It was so sad to read that the owners were no longer able to retain the ships berth and all other options were impractical.
This is such a loss and typical of this country to allow this to happen. This family independently
refurbished this ship to five star luxury. It was just like the Orient Express inside. Now they have no other option but to sell. How very sad, all those jobs that have been lost. Lucky Portugal.
