Been a number of times now, so far so good, owner always makes an attempt to make one comfortable despite how busy it is.

The food has always been nice and consistent, I hope they maintain this.

Recommended.

Went to this eatery couple of months ago had to wait around 30 minutes for a table. When seated in a busy restaurant the service was swift and started feeling the wait was worth while. The starters cold food were ok. The mains the kababs with saffron rice was fresh and juicy and full of flavour. Nice meal for reasonable prices will visit again.

Great food and portion. Service is not the best with a bit of confusion and delay. Very good quality food at the prices. Big portions so unless a massive eater best to share. A must for kabab lovers.

Having always heard about Persian Palace from friends, but always favouring Molana a few steps away further down the road, we decided to give it a go one Friday night.

Inside it is not expansive, but modern and well decorated, with the slight downside being that tables are fairly close together so this is probably not the best place for an intimate undisturbed dinner. As a testament to its reputation, the place was busy and there was a jovial buzz with many families having their meals there as well as couples and groups of friends.

The menu offers a good selection of hot and cold meze for starters with the focus on the grills for main. Persian bread is made to order in exotically decorated bread oven at the entrace of the restaurant.

For starters we ordered oliveh ( a salad of chicken, potatoes and mayonnaise) and mirza ghasemi (smoked aubergines mashed with tomato, eggs and garlic) with fresh bread. Both arrived quickly, were delicious and of a very generous size that we had some left over to go with our mains.

For mains, we ordered a selection of chicken and lamb grills (served traditionally with salad, rice and grilled tomato). Both were tender, succulent and so generous in size that I struggled to finish mine. The food could not be faulted in any way and the service, whilst not overly chatty, was speedy and polite.

On leaving the place we noticed a queue forming of eager diners, so clearly Persian Palace have their formula right. Definitely a fantastic place to try and whilst I do think Molana has a slight edge in terms of flavour of their grills, Persian Palace more than comfortably holds its own.

Went to this restaurant, without having made a booking. No sooner we were asked how many in the party, we were directed to a table. We made our choices and the food was quickly brought to us. There seemed not to be one waiter for our table, but one took orders, one brought the food, another asked if all was ok etc. We were amazed at the portion sizes, so we asked for a box in order to take the rest of my food with us, a plastic box with its lid was quickly brought to our table and I duly put my leftovers in to take away. This seemed a usual occurance in this restaurant but not everyone did ask for a box, which is a shame as the portions are very large!
The great thing in this place is that as they do tot serve alcoholic drinks, they have a BYO policy which suits us! The only negative point if you can call it that, is that they prefer you to pay cash, however no problems if you paid by card! A great restaurant with freshly baked bread on the premises, ( you actually can see the bread being freshly made ), food made to order! Will definitely visit this place again and again. Next time, I will try and have the cash with me!
