Obviously a perfect hotel if you are arriving by train or using the Heathrow Express. I stayed in a very nice mini-suite on the second floor.
My four huge windows looked out on Praed Street but the soundproofing was excellent and I slept well. Great restaurants in the neighborhood, with plenty of choices ranging from Italian to Greek to Lebanese to pub food.
Check-in person wasn't that all that warm, welcoming or communicative but all was in order with my reservation. Executive lounge looks out onto Paddington Station. Lounge had ample basic food choices, but nothing creative, memorable or exciting. Beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages were complimentary in the lounge.
Very comfortable beds. Not sure that I will return though, the Hilton Metropole up the street seemed like a better, cheaper choice with a superior executive lounge. That said, zero complaints about this property and if you're coming in late, or leaving early by train (or going to the airport via Heathrow Express) the location absolutely can't be beat.More
