My husband and I booked Henry Root as we were trying to find different places to eat round Chelsea. We'd booked it thinking it was a gastro pub but it turned out to be a quirky little restaurant. It had a nice set up because you could see Henry the chef cooking in the kitchen and we actually went up to thank him at the end of the meal. We both thought the food was just FANTASTIC and we've been to a lot of restaurants and we'd put this as the best place with good value round south ken / chelsea. I had the game terrine, followed by the pheasant and then the crumble! Every course was just immpecable and they were good size servings. The wine was quite pricey, but no worse than other places round there. What I particularly liked was when I said I'd like to try a dessert wine, but I wasn't sure if i'd like it, they came over with a taster before we purchased it. I would definitely reccomend you try this place.
