It is a cute and cosy vintage tea room where the waitress are lovely and dressed in accordance with the salon. I really loved the atmosphere and the idea of the hidden secret place (upstair a soho pub). The tea and coffee was ok but I did not find the cakes so great , the scone was a bit dry as well, a pity.. would love to go back anyway, because of the atmosphere.

I came here with my friend for tea one afternoon around Christmas time, we were pleased to find a really lovely vintage tea room. As we both love 1940's style vintage, this was right up our street - the room had really nice decorations, with mismatched teacups and jazz playing in the background. Surprising to see it in the upstairs of a pub - seems more suited in a place like Shoreditch or Dalston! We got the cream tea which was nice, there was quite a large selection of different teas to choose from - I ended up picking the Rosebud which was really nice and fragrant. We ended up sharing a cake however, as the two scones that come with the cream tea didn't fill us up - we got the Victoria sponge which was really light and tasty. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is not necessarily looking for a high end tea but something that oozes character through and through.

Six of us had tea here just before Christmas, although I agree that the sandwich choice was minimal (3) it all tasted lovely and there was far too much to eat, we all gave in!!
It is a charming tearoom, you have to go through the bar area and up the stairs to what I think would have originally been the landlords accomodation. The staff were very nice and friendly and the place oozed old world charm. It is not 'The Ritz' but then at £17.50 it is a fraction of the cost!
We would deffinately visit again.

Cute vintage tearoom vibe with gramophone and mismatched china. Had afternoon tea. Scones were nice but sandwiches dry and plain. Cakes were bought in unappealeing slabs. Not cheap at £17.50. Recommend cream tea only.

We thought we'd try somewhere new rather than the iconic premises next door
The waitress was very attentive and sweet
We ordered a cream tea and one cake
The tea was great cups were dirty cracked and chipped
We sent back the lemon meringue cake clearly it had been out for a while
We were offered a chocolate cake with desiccated coconut on top or a treacle tart
The treacle tart was I edible ....we left it
The scones were reheated and not fresh with a minuscule amount of jam ...by the way scones should be light and have enough raising agent...they were also small
Enough of the rant we won't be back
Interested to see if there is a response from the manager who was aware of our complaint but didn't bother coming over despite there only being 4 occupied tables
The waitress didn't charge for the cake sent back but we were charged for the tart that we couldn't eat
