Went for an unpretentious Saturday dinner. Food was very nice, quite tasty, good flavours. Menu is quite simple and not fancy but food is cooked well. We had calamari fritti, 2 different pasta dishes and 2 different deserts - all very nice. Place was quite busy, but service was just in time and very pleasant. Ambience a bit noisy. Had a tastecard, so overall was very good value (c £40, all in). Will visit again (maybe for lunch) and recommend if in the London Bridge area.

We visited the shard on a Saturday night and ended up deciding on this fine little restaurant, granted it was a bias choice as we had visited the Waterloo version of this chain, the day before. A three course meal coupled with my tastecard for two resulted in a food bill of just 23 pound. the service was great and the food was impeccable, and we cannot wait to revisit this place again.

So our friends from India had come to visit London and since they knew we live here, thought we should catch up. They said they had the London Pass Dining Guide (which gives them 50% discount or 2 for 1 at some restaurants incl Azzurro) which they had purchased for £10 and thought they should use it. So we meet up at Azzurro for dinner and asked the lady serving us if we could use it and she confirmed we could. Then another woman comes to take our order (and I have become wary of discount cards after last few bad encounters) so I double check with her if we could get 2 for 1 for the mains. She said we could but she needed to see it. When shown the card, she said there was no date on the discount card (which clearly mentioned valid until 2014). She went on arguing with our friends about the fact that there was no date of purchase. Clearly the customer can't do anything if the site that sells these cards does not print the date of purchase. She asked for the receipt of the purchase of the discount card (which no one carries nor does the card mention anywhere the need to carry one). The argument went on for about 10 minutes. Our friends asked if we could speak to the manager and to our horror, she said she was the manager! I told her they had just arrived 2 days ago and had purchased the discount card before they arrived in the UK but the woman said 'I don't believe you'! Finally my friend said she was carrying her ticket to show that she was a tourist and had only just arrived. It was only after an argument that lasted over 20 min were we able to order our food.
What I don't get is, if these restaurants have so much problems allowing customers to avail these offers, why on earth do they participate in such deals!!

We've arrived there because we'd a voucher from the train station and we've planned to use it, but even without the voucher the restaurant worth every penny. The ffod is amazing and the chef is very good. High quality food, a must try if U are in London. A trully Italian cuisine
