We visited Broadway Market and it's an outdoor version of Borough Market - I should imagine the Locals give it a very wide berth - £4.20 for a small loaf of sourdough bread, £4.50 for a pie - ouch a bit pricey for the cash strapped people that live in the area - but if you are a tourist with money to spend pay a visit - the smells and sounds are amazing - with fresh food and buskers playing all kinds of music - we really enjoyed a browse around - we did buy some bread and a pie both were delicious but if we lived there we would not shop there as it is far too expensive.

A huge variety of food- Italian, French (cheese, bread), Vietnamese (delicious sandwiches), Indian, nice cakes and tarts.

This is a great market to get away from the tourists in central London. Stalls that sell all kinds of stuff, food on display, plenty of tasters - a great place to spend a morning.

The Broadway Market is a great place to hang out for a few hours. It is part of the gentrification of Hackney but the interesting part is that it is not too gentrified. So very different feel from Regent St and those shopping areas. Sitting around and taking it all in were local residents who seemed like they had seem better days.

I had fun poking around not just the temporary stalls in the middle of the closed off street (on Saturdays) but the regular shops that line the Street during the rest of the week.

Prices are not dirt cheap but not hideous either. But the fruits and vegetables we got was very good.

We also enjoyed walking a little bit by London Fields with its great big wildflower meadow. The F. Cooke is a local institution and the Broadway bookshop is great for browsing.

Went there on a Friday morning. The place was full of interesting food stalls and fresh produce. Everything we tried was of great quality and super tasty! The street also has some great little bookstores and other cute little shops where you can find some unusual and interesting things. The place was lively with lots of fashionable people walking around and enjoying themselves (though not overcrowded), so it was also great for people watching. We took some delicious Iranian food from the market and went for a picnic at the nearby London Fields park, it was a perfect way to spend a lazy Friday morning!
