Description: The Kilburn High Road is a hive of activity and is filled with bustling cafs, restaurants and bars in north London. Kish is a favourite with locals for its fresh Persian/Iranian food and cosy, neighbourhood atmosphere, and the restaurant stands out slong the strip with its huge clay oven and chefs work bench in the shopfront window. Step inside and the walls are a deep magenta giving the space a friendly glow. The floors are tiled and the vibe here is informal but Kish is suitable for business dining or fun celebrations. The menu is filled with classic kebabs and grills and we recommend the charcoal grilled lamb chops with saffron steamed basmati rice and a grilled tomato for main course.

With the best Persian food in London or even in Europe , this is the only place you can find yourself in taste of Middle East , I tried mahi ( fish ) too often and it's good , if you are vegiterian there are choices , also kebab is very good and can you believe it the bread is baked fresh in front of you , بهترين رستوران ايرانى در لندن

“Nice Abgoosht (Iranian traditional stew) everyday”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

The abgoosht which serves everyday is delicious.
I also tried Kabab Koobide with bread, as the bread was baked freshly there, was very good.
The customer service was very good, Mahsa and Elham were very kind, polite and nice.
I would like to see Mojgan with more smile:)
The price is reasonable. Th quantity of food was more than enough for one person.
The area is small and not as beautiful as other Persian restaurants.
The Doogh had very plain taste.

“They bake the naan fresh in a tandoor oven!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

This was a fantastic dining experience.... I was a solo diner, but this was a real treat, mostly because they simply made the tandoor naan right there and in seconds after ordering it, you get this fantastic side!! Such a good idea I have been older for years why more Persian restaurants not do this??
The Seneh morgh BA zereshk polo was AMAZING!
Ok so here is the deal, if you have never tried Persian food, this is probably a great place to start:
Appetizer: badamjun
Entree: chicken kabob, but replace the regular basmati with zereshk polo (rice with sour berries in it(so delicious!)
The service was slightly slow, but they were doing a lot of take out and parties.

“Quality food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This Persian restaurant has excellent food and great portion sizes. For 15-20 pounds you can have a great meal and leave feeling quite full and satisfied. We ate here a few times in our previous trips and each time the food quality was excellent. Definitely a place to try if you are staying at the Marriott Maida Vale as it is directly across the street. They also deliver for those in the local area.

“Excellent Iranian food..”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Was at the restaurant a couple of times last week as it was one of the closest to the hotel I was staying in.
I'm not an expert in Iranian or Persian food. Tasted it at a restaurant at Leeds and a couple of times at a friend's place. So, it is not for me to say if it is authentic or not. But, whatever they served was excellent on both occasions. The first time I tried Loobia polo (if you are into Indian cuisine, it's more like a lamb biryani), and the second time it was Ghormeh sabzi (boneless lamb cooked in spinach and lentils) with steamed rice. Had a glass of doogh on both occasions, which is more of a dilute sour curd. The food tasted great, the portions were ample enough (I couldn't finish on both occasions).
It seems to be a family run eastablishment, not very big but ample seating space none-the-less. You don't have to wait for long and if you are not sure about the menu, the waiters are always eager to help and explain what it is.
Location wise, it may not be perfect for London, but the taste and the price should be incentives to try out the place.
