Four of us booked for early dinner before going to the performance at The Criterion Theatre. We were greeted and seated very efficiently, and the staff were extremely pleasant. We had a bottle of Prosecco, which was OK and starters and a main each. The choice was good, with options for lighter meals. However, overall the food was bland and not well cooked; my sister's squid, for example, was very rubbery. The highlight was the staff, who were attentive, and the service was prompt but not overly hurried. I paid a visit to the ladies and unfortunately was wearing a fairly new pair of shoes, which was a little uncomfortable on the smooth polished floor tiles. The loos were a little unpleasant and the corners and door kick plates could do with a good clean.
