food ok, cakes wonderful and a good atmosphere. but the staff let the premises down. rude, sullen, and certainly not worth a tip. visited here twice in the last week and the staff were found wanting on both occassions. on both occassions had to aske repeatedly for milk for my coffee and one by the name of paulo is just plain rude and would not entice me to visit again. all of them need to learn to be more attentive to customers instead of hanging around near the counter.

Whilst the coffee and cakes were good... if somewhat expensive, the staff were efficient but sullen.

We've been going going to Patisserie Valerie for around ten years. It used to be really special, excellent food and (apparently) the very best decaf cappuccino you could get anywhere. The cappuccino hasn't been great for a while but the food has been good, last week the food wasn't great either. It's lost some atmosphere, they have put more tables in and it feels a bit cramped.

The staff have always been great though, and they still are!

It's a great brand but this branch needs to up its game.

Ok food, no atmosphere, slow service. Great location. We found it by chance and popped in for tea. It was rather disappointing, as was the service and value for money.

Trawling around Piccadilly on a cold day makes one look for pockets of warmth - both as in a warmer air temperature and a glowing tummy. Well, Patisserie Valerie provided both to a rather pleasant degree. Inside the decor and staff to staff language was definitely of French persuasion with English being spoken by staff when ordering. Note! If you want to order something slightly 'off menu', then make sure the staff understand your request, otherwise your order may get lost in translation. In saying that, I just stuck to the menu and ordered the 'All Day Breakfast' option of scrambled eggs and bacon on whole meal toast with a nice pot of tea on the side that was just lip dribbingly lovely. I'll be going there again I can tell you.
