Sensible prices and close to Baker St, Oxford St, Camden, night clubs and parks. Absolutely ideal location for everywhere we wanted to visit. Would use again for sure!! Hotel was nice too and staff were friendly!

A lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, service was excellent, the rooms were big and luxurious, the breakfast was fantastic - the only thing that let it down - was the bed was so hard and uncomfortable it meant we had a very bad nights sleep. Have stayed in much cheaper hotels where the beds have been great, it's a shame, means we probably wouldn't book it again.

Room Tip: Ask about the bed quality!

Stayed for a long weekend with the wife, I had read some quite negative reviews regarding the Melia White House, however our concerns were unfounded. We stayed in a classic room and yes it is small, but we were there to site see not sit in a room. The room and hotel were spotless and there is a very nice ambience about the place
Only issue I would present is the cost of drinks, minibar etc. We did stay in the bar 1 evening ad the £15 voucher came in very handy.
Its a great location for shopping, ( walkin distance to Oxford Street, Carnaby Street) and tube service to anywhere else is excellent.
Staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and polite.
Altogether a very pleasant stay and we would recommend to anyone visiting London for pleasure or business.

Spent 3 days here with my wife. Overall I will recommend it as it is clean, and has the best breakfast of all our England tour. However, be prepared for a front desk staff that needs a review of how to be courteous to those who pay you. A few things I did not expect such as a bad computer that won't print your boarding pass, slow plumbing which I can't stand( I wish they would spend money on keeping their drains clean instead of stupid towel racks that burn your arm getting out of the shower, etc. would I stay there again? I doubt it as I expected more finesse in hotel functionality for the money they want for your stay.

This is a great hotel for business or leisure in an excellent location in London. It's a mere steps from the Underground and very close to terrific shopping on Regent street and Oxford Street and a reasonable walk to Picadilly Circus and all of the excitement London offers.

In terms of the hotel itself, the accommodations are excellent (although a bit dated). The beds are very comfortable and the buffet food is great Spanish fare. I'd certainly visit again.

Dear guest,

Thank you for posting your comments with all Tripadvisor users!

It is true that we have the chance to be located in central of London and we are delighted to see that in addition to that you had an enjoyable stay with us as well as you enjoyed our buffet.

On your next stay with us, don’t miss to try L’Albufera restaurant, an excellent and very well recognised Spanish restaurant (AA Rosette awarded).

We are looking forward to welcome you back soon at Melia White House!

We were unable to check in at 5pm( told check in was from 3pm) after a 15 min wait we were told room was ready but as soon as we walked in, we were hit by the disgusting smell of cigarette smoke.I then went & complained & they said they would move us & get it by our return that night. This had now set us behind by half an hour & we were meeting family for a meal & trip to the theatre ,but now had no time to have a quick shower & change as we were running late anyway. On our return at 11.40pm we were told we hadn't been moved but the room was now alright. The room was not alright & still smelt of smoke ( a window had obviously been opened & air freshener sprayed) My son & I were exhausted as we began our journey that day at 6am & I didn't have the energy to go to reception again to complain.I did complain again on checking out & I got 'sorry'.Not a cheap hotel & it ruined my weekend!

Nice hotel for business stays in London. The rooms are adequate size and very comfortable. The food is a very good standard, especially for buffet food and great if you love Spanish food! The bar lets it down slightly as it has a bit of an old fashioned style to it but it is very relaxing.
