Stayed here for Open London weekend in September. It is a great hotel in a superb location, just behind Marble Arch tube.
We were upgraded upon arrival which was nice and the room was perfectly equipped. Breakfast was the usual mix of continental and full English, but it was tasty. Staff were very friendly and attentive, from the moment we arrived, until we checked out in the morning. We left our luggage all day for no charge and this again was a great service considering where we were.
Even though we were upgraded our room was still quite small for a king size room. We got the room half price through a booking site but even at £216 for two it was pricey. Breakfast was extra...
But, think about it for a moment. You are 100 yards from Oxford Street and right behind Marble Arch tube station. The price per square foot of real estate here is some of the highest in the UK, so is it any wonder that hotel prices are high here. Actually, considering that it is where it is and the quality of the hotel, the price is justifiable. Still very high but it comes with the location and territory.
So, the Montcalm Marble Arch is a very nice hotel with great staff. If you want to be just off Oxford Street remember it will not be cheap, but you will enjoy it.
