Lovely bar, but for £12 per drink it is lacking the service. Bar not busy but still need to wait for hours for a drink. Anything between 0-3 staff behind the bar with very little drinks being served. Seen actually few people sit down and then head off due to lack of service. Real shame, since this is a real hidden gem. Lovely bar otherwise.

I am absolutely love this restaurant. I have been several times and it never disappoints. Finding yourself in theatre land in a pit of tourist ridden chain restaurants you can escape to an amazing restaurant here. The food has built on the St. John concept after the departure of Fergus Henderson and now carries an identity of its own. A pre meal drink at the bar is a must as the cocktails and friendliness of the staff is amazing. True favourite worth a detour!

Kudos to Leo Carreira and the Viajante team for a brilliant popup dinner at One Leicester Street. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in recent years, primarily because of the intimacy into which you are placed with your fellow diners and with the staff. This is the first time I've had a communal fine dining experience and it blew me away. The food was obviously great as would be expected and was proportioned perfectly - I was beginning to think I would leave hungry from smaller courses, but then the Iberico pork came just at the right time. Just a tremendous evening and being able to meet the others at the table and discuss the various dishes (with the chef even) added so much to the experience. And the price for everything was simply too good to be true.

I hope that the team is successful in this venue, and I couldn't recommend this more.

Found this place last minute early morning and decided to pop in for breakfast. Simplistic layout but elegant. Our waitress was very friendly and the kitchen was on view.

We ordered pancakes and the porridge both which were done excellently. Overall I would visit this restaurant again

We booked this restaurant for a pre-theatre meal because of its location near the theatre and the fact it was in the Good Food Guide. The greeting was friendly and efficient, and since we were early, we were offered the choice of any table in the restaurant, a nice touch. The decor is a bit sombre but pleasant.
There is a choice of either a pre-theatre menu (2 or 3 courses) available before 6.30 pm, or a la carte. The pre-theatre menu had a choice of three dishes in each course, but we couldn't see anything we liked so we chose from the a la carte, and for reasons of time, missed out on starters. However, even the a la carte menu is limited, and for example, of the 6 fish dishes - 4 were shellfish, one was vegetarian and only one was fish. If you're allergic to shellfish, this is very limiting. I would have expected at least two dishes to be plain fish. However, enough of the issues, the food we did choose came relatively quickly and was absolutely delicious, perhaps a bit rich, but very very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyable. The dessert was equally good as was the strong coffee with which we ended. Very well worth the visit.
There was a cocktail list, and a selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass - we had a glass of the Nyetimber which was excellent.
Service throughout was outstanding - cheerful, caring and very efficient. We didn't feel rushed, nor anxious that we wouldn't be finished in time for the theatre.
We were glad we had booked and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
