“Still dreaming of the shower!”
Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

I loved my stay at Grosvenor House! The beds were very comfortable, the linens lovely, the pillows---so soft. My favorite was the shower with the shower head the diameter of a basketball and fabulous, full flow of water---wonderful. Add to that the fact that the towels were so nice and fluffy and WARM. I absolutely love those little details. Old-world character & service with new-world amenities & service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in a great location and feel pampered.

Hotel is well located and the staff is responsive. Room was OK, but far from special. Internet options are either very expensive or awful (took an hour to obtain email...downloads all timed out). Not a great price performer.

Room Tip: Overlook Hyde Park

Seven of us stayed for a week at the JW Grosvenor House. The front door led us to Park Lane with all kinds of places to walk and visit while stepping out the rear door led us right into the heart of Mayfair with quaint houses, beautiful window boxes, and excellent restaurants.

Ricky, Tony, and all the other staff at the concierge desk went above and beyond the call. They found us theatre tickets when none were to be found; got one group into The Ivy when reservations need to be made months in advance; and were pleasant and accommodating in many other ways.

One of our group needed special accommodations and the front desk took care of this for her. The rest of us were challenged by the bathtub/shower configuration since the floor was quite a bit below the tub. But we quickly learned to negotiate.

The 7th floor lounge was a welcome respite from a hard day of touring as well as offering a wide array of food at various times of the day.

This is a very large hotel and used for many groups so the experience was not quite the British quaint place to stay.

Although, it was a bit windy and cold in London (Mid-May) we had a brilliant stay. Each evening when we returned to our lovely room at the Grosvenor House a thick, white, fluffy robe and slippers were layed out for us. To take the cold edge off we soaked in a wonderful warm bath with bath salts that melted away the rain and cold of London. We couldn't ask for more in a hotel and can't amagine ever staying anywhere else! It was beyond perfect and very professional! We had a lovely, brilliant stay the Grosvenor House really took care of their cousins from across the pond! If you like luxury, style, class and a bit of privacy this full service hotel is the ticket. You can't put a price on good service, security and safety. Each evening when we closed our eyes to rest it felt like we were home. Many thanks for taking such good care of us!

Room Tip: We work hard and play hard. The Grosvenor House AJW Marriott Hotel was perfect for us. Comfortable...

Huge thanks to the staff at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane for providing an outstanding experience for my husband's recent special birthday. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we felt thoroughly spoilt and beautifully looked after. I had forewarned the hotel of our celebration and they provided a wonderful corner room on the eighth floor with terrific views over the London Eye, Post Office Tower and iconic sights of London. The bed was enormous and exceptionally comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
As Gold Elite members of the Marriott points scheme, we were able to enjoy the facilities of the executive lounge - so comfortable and with a great choice of food and highly drinkable wines. We particularly enjoyed the afternoon tea. The atmosphere was relaxing and congenial and the area provides the opportunity to chat with other guests if you are feeling sociable.
The valet parking was very useful as it's such a busy area of London and although I did discover that it is possible to avoid congestion charges and find a cheaper garage parking option a walk away, the convenience factor won me over!
The location is brilliant. We popped over to China Town, went to a West End musical and enjoyed wandering through the shops on Regent Street, Bond Street and Oxford Street. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around but quite honestly, such were the delights of the hotel with its exec lounge that we were reluctant to leave its four walls!
As an older couple seeking an unforgettable and romantic experience, we could not fault our stay. We shall definitely be back.

Room Tip: We loved being high up and having such a great view of London from our room. Feel sure that rooms ov...

We attended the tric awards on Monday and was checked in at reception with excellent check in staff speeding us through the process. We went to our room room 216 and was quite shocked how dark the room was , we then checked the view was a very large extractor ducting from the kitchen . As we were already exhausted we accepted this as it was only for one night and we needed to be ready to go to the great room. Upon entering the white marble bathroom my partner spotted the worst sight you could have looked at a towel over the bath with somebody else's black short body hair on it!!!. This prompted a upset partner to call reception. A chamber maid came very promptly and changed the towels and checked the room. The damage was already done we didn't want to use the bathroom after that and at £380 pounds a night we did expect more.Having had the experience in the room we went down to the Great room and had a good meal and fantastic service. In summary cleaning other people's hair away is a massive priority in my mind as you don't want to share other people's hair.

Cannot comment on the rooms as I did not stay.

The business centre is fine, plenty of rooms. Lunch was "ok", I guess it all depends how much you spend, but sandwiches nothing special.

Next day was a ball. Champagne flowed freely. The meal was very average, but catering for 800 people can't be an easy job!
