Went to Il Bianco to make a change from nearby La Figa - but food choice was pretty much the same, including roast potatoes (why?) but not so extensive. The main difference was the cramped seating and the noise. It was like sitting in the foyer of a busy office block. We were a party of three placed on a table for two, despite our reservation. But were told we couldn’t be moved to a bigger table as it gets particularly busy between 7pm to 9pm. Really. So we had to forgo a sharing pizza and endure the constant view of the waiter’s backside every time he served the very nearby table. The service was good, the food fine, although the chicken, cheese and ham a little salty, but meal let down by the ambience. Three starters, three main meals, two wines, two beers and one water, just over £100. Not for an intimate meal, reminded of a busy canteen, sit, eat and leave…and we did.
