Description: Bumpkin restaurant is a new thing, a country-in-the-city organic eatery thats opened its doors on the Old Brompton Road in Londons South Kensington. Bustling with an art-collecting, sports-jacket-wearing local crowd, Bumpkin is a warm and cosy restaurant that has been decorated with farmhouse-chic furniture and eclectically upholstered chairs to relax in while you watch the chefs create their magic in the open-plan kitchen. The classic British cuisine revolves around the availability of fresh market ingredients, so the menu at Bumpkin changes frequently with sumptuous daily special as well. Apart from olive oil, all the ingredients on Bumpkins menu are one hundred percent British. Signature dishes include a variety of organic pies, gourmet salads and grilled fish accompanied by an excellent selection of wines, ciders and real British ales. We love this local gem, and it's an ideal spot for post-shopping salads, Sunday roasts and Bloody Marys, and organic on-the-run snacks.

We ate here on our last night of our one week stay in London and loved it. The menu is "comfort-food" English style. All of four of our party ordered something different and each dish arrived perfectly prepared. Our server was so helpful and very attentive. If you are looking for English Food a cut above "pub grub" then give this a try.

Very nice atmosphere. The interior is very cosy.
Kids & family friendly on weekends at least.

We had an wonderful Sunday brunch. Food was gorgeous.
We were seated at the back with view on the kitchen, which is very nice.
Good service and price-quality is perfect.

Another brilliant Sunday lunch. Busy busy restaurant and yet ... brilliant service, super food, waiters with personality and such good value for money. Love going there.

I had read that this restaurant served good English food, but we never got the chance to try it. We placed an order, which was lost by the wait staff. They did not come by our table for 45 minutes and when I finally had to ask why our food was taking so long, they admitted that they had forgotten to give our order to the kitchen staff. Don't waste your vacation time with these people.

Had been to the Notting hill Bumkin before and had great food. Not sure wht is happening with this new venture in Westfield Stratford. In 2 words: don' t bother. Prices are quite high but food quality is low. I had the fish and chips. Way too much batter meant it was not cooked properly and I ended up trying to remove most of the batter, although a sticky paste, the uncooked part, was still stuck to the fish, which gladly was cooked. My partner had the fish pie. It was drowned under a very thick layer of cheese. Burgers looked a better option, but at these prices, go to Hawksmoor! Will not be back at this one and will put the whole chain on my blacklist... Yes they have become a chain and not one of the best...
