“Great budget option.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We stayed in this Premier Inn for one night in October with two friends who had booked into another room. We were checked in swiftly, having arrived at around 6pm. The hotel is located within 5 minutes of Belsize Park tube station, in a lovely area with a village feel to it. There are plenty of transport links with a number of buses available around the corner from the hotel, or the Northern Line on the tube which connects to King's Cross within a few minutes. There's plenty of restaurants and cafes in the local area, and I'd highly recommend giving them a try over the hotel restaurant any day!

Our room in the Premier Inn was large, with a good sized double bed, sofa and a good sized bathroom. We had a lot of space in our room, however our friends down the corridor had a much smaller room. The room lived up to my expectations of Premier Inns based on previous experience - it was super clean, with fresh linen and a comfortable bed. This hotel isn't as close to the centre of London, but as a consequence it's a little cheaper and it is in a wonderful location. You can easily see all of the tourist attractions, or get to many central London locations (e.g. The West End, Oxford St, Camden etc) using this hotel as a base.

Last week I stayed a few nights in this hotel with my family and I can't possibly tell you enough about them.
The rooms are just the right size - smaller and they would feel cramped; bigger and they would feel wasteful. The bathroom, though small, worked perfectly, without any of the usual problems I usually find in other hotels in London, even in the more expensive ones. Although the hotel is big (140 rooms in all, 28 in each of the 5 floors) there was not a single time when I could hear as much as a whisper coming from any room or even from the corridor. My particular room faced the car park in the back of the hotel and although the sight wasn't anything special, it was very silent and I could see the light of dawn if I left the curtain just slightly open - and therefore waking up was progressive and much easier.
The staff are wonderful, without being over the top. It seems that they have hit a sweet-spot where they are neither too polite in a sense that only Americans can be, nor too cold, in a sense that only (central) Londoners can be.
Breakfast was big, varied, nutritious and not too expensive (£5.25 for Continental and £8.95, I believe, for full British) and if at least one adult had a full British kids eat for free!
The location is great, literally 2m away from Belsize Park tube station, on the Northern Line. Except for Paddington Station, you can easily get anywhere using this line.
All in all, this hotel was perfect for me and what I needed and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone spending a short period of time in London!

Room Tip: For total silence ask for a room facing the car park in the back.

Not expecting a huge amount, three of us stayed here (2 adults, 1 child) for a night and were perfectly happy. If you just need a room for the night on a busy visit to London, it's perfect (ie, the hotel's probably not the most exciting place to lounge around). Haverstock Hill is a great part of Hampstead, and Belsize tube is only a 1-minute walk away.
One complaint would have been noise insulation and door banging. We were plagued by neighbouring rooms constantly opening doors and letting them slam shut - sound-dampening and better insulation around the doors would go a long way.

Great staff, comfortable room, good breakfast and you can have a beer as well. Any problems, (although I doubt you will have any) ask the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. 2 mins from Tube station, easy access for supermarket for any emergency requirements

just stayed for three nights with our 2 children. excellent location in a nice leafy area. plenty of amenities on the doorstop and tube 2 mins walk. We had a room at the back above the car park, it was very quiet. Helpful staff, great breakfasts, lovely sunny breakfast room. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but did the job, a few extra clothes hangers would have been good. We walked to the zoo via primrose hill which provides a lovely view of London. Just 2 stops on the tube to Camden, within easy reach of everywhere. We would certainly stay here again.
