We stayed here for 2 nights from 8-10 Feb. The staff couldn't be more courteous and helpful. Yes the room was small, but it was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. We had champagne afternoon tea in the restaurant which was really lovely. Breakfast was lovely, good quality food, restaurant staff were brilliant.Great location, handy for the West End. Will definitely be back.

The Corus Hyde Park is a pretty good hotel for a reasonable price. However, it isn't perfect, and could do with some investment.

The service was passable. I had to wait some time to check in, and the welcome was functional rather than warm. The room I stayed in was small, even by the standards of London hotel rooms, though it was nicely decorated and largely very clean. It looked a little on the tired side: the carpet was a bit worn, the shutters at the window didn't quite line up, the tea and coffee was presented in a based Twinings tin (despite not being Twinings tea!). The bathroom was also small, but very clean. Overall, despite the minor niggles, the impression was good. It was very pleasing to see that an iron was provided in the room - something many hotels seem to be overlooking these days!

I found the room rather noisy at times. The internal walls appear to be very thin. But otherwise, the night's sleep was good.

I was a little disappointed at the number and cost of the extras in this hotel. For example, they offer free wifi, but with throttled speed - full speed access is chargeable. A breakfast tray in one's room cost £16, and with the tray charge, you'd be lucky to get change from £20 for any item via room service. That said, this is becoming par for the course in London.

Overall, this was a good stay, despite the niggles, and I certainly wouldn't complain if work booked me into this hotel again.

This hotel was great - clean, comfortable, friendly staff, nice bar, good restaurant with a good breakfast. The only real issue is the rooms toward the back of the hotel aren't sealed up well and the noise is unbearable. We hardly slept because our room backed up to the alley where they were throwing out trash, bottles, and receiving deliveries nonstop. It was out of hand. All they really need to do is caulk and seal the windows.
Otherwise the hotel is nice, there is free WiFi, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great location, very close to Notting Hill and across from Hyde Park.

Room Tip: Ask for something toward the front of the hotel.

Stayed for 2 days while on a short trip to London for some sight seeing and seeing some family. Mostly great, but the room was tiny! The bed was up against the wall, only a small rail for hanging clothes. Didn't bother me too much as we weren't there for long but I wouldn't like it for a longer stay. Room included double bed, tv, kettle with tea and coffee, safe, trouser press and iron, toiletries and plenty of towels. Really appreciated both the air conditioning, which worked very well and the fact that the window could be opened properly. Very close to tube station too. Would probably stay there again, room rate depending. Only real criticism (apart from the room size) was that the walls seemed to be very thin.

Used this place for a business trip, mostly good although rooms are a bit noisy from the traffic. Service good and location ok near Hyde park and Oxford street, close to a tube station. Bit expensive but then again most hotels in London are.

I recently had a voucher for a champagne afternoon tea costing £29 for two of us. The full price was supposedly over £60, and it was definitely
overpriced. We had a pot of tea, 3 tiny sandwiches in processed white bread, some tiny strawberry tarts and 2 shop bought cakes. The saving grace was the scones, fresh and light, but served with really cheap strawberry jam.
This was supposed to be a treat but was a really disappointing experience.
We were offered more hot water for the tea without having to ask, and had one glass of champagne /prosecco each.
The staff were all young and seemed pleasant, but they were very overworked as it was a busy Saturday afternoon.

I stayed in this hotel whilst on business 13th feb 2013.

The hotel is conveniently situated 5 mins from Lancaster gate tube station.

First impressions were good, and was checked in by the friendly reception staff in an efficient and professional manner.

My room was very small but well equipped with a comfortable double bed, tv, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, bottle of wine, trouser press, iron, and toiletries.

I would stay again if for an overnight as the size of the room didn't bother me as I only used it as a place to get my head down, but I wouldn't recommend if you are traveling as a couple or if you are planning a trip for any length of time.

I only ate in the restaurant for breakfast which was a buffet. Staff were helpful and polite. My only criticism would be that the bacon and fried eggs had ran out and it took 10 mins for the kitchen staff to refill these. Apart from that, the food was hot and a good selection provided.
