“Under New Management”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Our 3rd stay at this hotel but the first since it changed hands and is being rebranded as one of the Double Tree Hilton Hotels. There is currently work taking place on the 5th floor but it didn't bother us as we were out during the day when the work was going on and as they didn't work weekends it didn't affect our later start on Sunday.
Reception staff were very helpful especially when receiving packages for us and providing local directions.
We chose this hotel as it is close to the Tube and is easy to access central London. The breakfast is full English every day which is hard to resist. The staff coped very well and food was quickly replenished when it was very busy during the weekend.
We would definitely return to this hotel, next time we visit London.

We were not informed about the change of owner and name of the hotel, so we walked to far to find it. Further was it a cold hotel with not much heating and a rare voucher system.
But the rooms are clean and the stay was as we expected.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights during our son and daughter in law's wedding reception.Travelling by car from Cheshire the hotel was easy to find when coming in from the A40 and also easy to return home in the same direction.Parking at the hotel was free for wedding guests and a reduced room rate was available as a wedding guest. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was of a decent size but clothes storage space in the room was a bit limited. The bathroom was a bit cramped. The buffet breakfast was included in the price and was excellent value. The wedding reception was well organised. One disappointment, the hotel wasn't yet part of the Doubletree chain and didn't have the free cookies!

The Hotel is just off Hangar Lane and overlooks Ealing Common. As expected the road is very busy and there is road noise. Also, the room was over the function room, thankfully the wedding reception ended at midnight and the "thumping" music stopped then.

The room needs updating, but it was clean and I would say not as good as a Travelodge or Premier Inn. The hotel is being updated and you can here the work being carried even on a Saturday morning.

Previous occupants must have smoked in the room as there were quite a few dog ends lying on the flat roof outside of the bedroom window.

There is free WiFi in the public areas, but you have to pay for use in the rooms.

The buffet breakfast was very nice, though orange juice tasted like orange squash. Plenty of choice of hot and cold food.

Ealing Common Tube station is 5 mins walk away. There is a Nandos next to it and a Sainsburys Local is across the road. The station is served by both the District and Piccadilly Lines. Central London is around 30minutes away. The station is in Zone 4 and a days Travelcard is £7.70.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the function room and main road.

Selected this as part of a weekend break rail deal and really can't complain.

It was 200m from the Ealing Common tube station and although dated and in need of a few pounds spending on it in terms of decoration it's clean and the rooms quite spacious for London hotels.

Reception, bar staff and restaurant staff were all friendly, professional and attentive.

Our breakfast was included in the price which made the deal all the better as it was varied and very enjoyable.

We were informed that there were some pubs about a 10 or 15 min walk away but we'd been out all day and didn't fancy walking any further.

This is certainly one of the better budget end hotels I've stayed in in London.

I have stayed at this hotel before a few years ago when it was then the Ealing Ramada Javis hotel.

The hotel is typical of most hotels that are 15 - 30 years old. Ramada renovated the hotel just under 11 years ago and now it is going through a new transition to Doubletree by Hlton.

At time of writing the hotel has closed the 5th floor off and rooms are being renovated. There is some building work noise, but this begins from 9am and dependant on planned work, may be noticeable...

The hotel is clean and during my 4 night stay I didn't experience a group of school students.... So I was grateful for that.

The reception is fresh and clean.

Hotel staff are good. Not great but think a few of them are fairly new.

You won't go wrong with this hotel and the tube is just a 2 min walk away. The Sushi bar also near the tube is a London award winner so if you like that kinda thing then do make a trip. Also these is a Nandos :)

It's not the Waldorf, think of it as a Premier Inn or Comfort Inn type of hotel...

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main road.

Positives - The friendly staff, especially the two Irish ladies serving breakfast who were among the nicest people we could meet. Although situated outside London City Centre, the hotel itself is just a 2 or 3 minute walk from the Tube Station. We were on the top (fifth) floor, and it was fairly quiet at night. The breakfast was decent.

Negatives - Our room was very small and had some dirty marks on the walls and around the doors. Bathroom and shower were very small.

All in all, it was't bad but could be better!
