The hotel is very well located near the Queensway and Lancaster Way tube stations in a quiet street in Kensington. Check in took some time and the wait at the lobby was not comfortable due to ongoing remodeling. The room was not spacious but comfortable for three guests.

on arrival at the hotel for a theatre break we were given the key to our room. the room was in the basement very small plug socket didnt work tv kept going off channel loose arieal connection. The breakfast buffet was vast looked very good however the cooked breakfast items were overloaded and stone cold no checking was in place and took me to let them know their food was cold well bellow the standard expected the hotel also had a number of works going on which was not mentioned on the web side when break was booked. Outside the bedroom we had workmen drilling which really did not impress either of us. Having said that their room service of tray sandwiches and tea was very good but then it needed to be for a total of £34:00.The show we saw was fantastic and would go on another theatre break however would be more careful on the hotel choice research first then book

The hotel is located on a quiet street adjacent to Hyde Park and near Marble Arch. The staff allowed us to check in early in the morning due to our flight schedule. The room was very European with twin beds, a small bathroom, and a TV. Due to construction beneath us and the location of our room it was somewhat noisy most hours. The breakfast buffet was nicely appointed with traditional English Breakfast fare as well as juices and cereals for a more American palette. The rooms were clean and the sheets were nice. The hotel is also convenient to Leinster Terrace bus stop and a block away from a small grocery store.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor and a room away from steps/elevator

Stayed here for one night when going for a job interview. Got this on expedia for a good rate. Decent hotel for the money and in a great location. It wasn't as nice as a premier inn, but wasn't as bad as a travelodge.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Lancster gate. It was within easy reach of the tube station. Although reception was being upgraded the rooms were very clean, nice bright colours. The bar was really nice and the bar staff very courteous and very good at their job. The breakfast was very good, all hot, a good and varied choice.
Nothing to complain about so would mark it out of 10 for the price 9.

Pros: good location, 10 min walk to the Marble Arch. Buses, tube station near by. Breakfast included. Fairly cheap compared to other London hotels. On a quiet street.

Cons: breakfast is limited and does not change from day to day. No mini bar in the room. Wifi is not free, it is 5 pounds per day! Rooms are very small, beds and pillows uncomfortable. I asked for a bigger room, wanted to pay more to get a better room, was given a room that was 2 sq. meters bigger than the previous and no extra charge. Was surprised they didn't want to make more money. You can't buy tickets to shows or theater from the front desk.

I just spent a weekend in this hotel with a friend. We were disappointed for a few reasons. Our room was freezing, there was a big draught from the window and it was snowing. the air con was super loud so it was annoying to have to have it on to heat the room. There was no mini-bar, they charge £5 a day for WI-FI. The toilet situation on the floor of reception/bar/restaurant is pitiful. You have to get a key and code from staff and there is one single toilet. The reception area is constantly packed with people...its all very unorganised.
I also tried to get room service one morning(menu says "24 hr") and I was told they didnt do room service until after 10am. So I ordered breakfast(very poor), the delay was so long I called to inquire only to be told that they were "busy".
Also, this hotel is under construction, be prepared to be woken very early to the music of a drill!!!
Will not be staying here again....

Room Tip: Ask if construction is ongoing, get a room as far away as possible...
