We chose the intercontinental for afternoon tea as a last minute treat. I am so glad we did. From the Gin cocktail to the champagne, delightful choice of menu and delicious sweet treats everything was perfect. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere relaxed and peaceful. Well done Intercontinental - perfect!

Beeing there on a poiunts stay, with a room with a nice view and excelent service.
Had breakfast on the room (better the eggs breakfast than the continental one).
Room is small (european size) but ok. Had one with balcony wich helps make it better.
Next to subway so convinient located.

Yes London is very expensive and yes its known for its antique and rundown hotels but the InterContinental shows you a different side of London. The hotel can be described as "simple elegance" as it has very modern and conservative decor done in a very tasteful manner. The location is perfect: nestled nicely between Hyde Park and the world's top shopping area. For the perfect weekend:

- stay @ the InterConti
- go shopping @ Harrods, Oxford street, and Bond street
- eat @ Nobu next door and then Hakkasans Mayfair which is a short walk away next to the
Rolls Royce dealership
- stroll thru Hyde Park

A perfect weekend.

Room Tip: pay for club access on the top floor! its worth it as the breakfast there is absolutely tops.

This hotel is located in a great little section of London near Buckinham Palace and Picadilly Circus, as well as lot's of other attractions. The service is terrific, the rooms are well appointed, clean and updated, and the hotel overall is very modern and stylish. A great stay at a great spot - recommended.

The Intercontinental is a classy, comfortable and very well located Hotel in London. The staff is always helpful and very charming. The hotel has a great buffet breakfast and room service is excellent. The tearoom is amazing and they have all types of spirits and great food.
This hotel is walking distance to Harrods and Oxford Circus where all the best shops and great restaurants are conveniently located.
Hotel prices are high but worth paying.
If you plan to stay in London for business or pleasure this is a very good choice

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor non smoking room.

Found this hotel on a trip to London. I have since stayed twice more. The rooms are large for London, and the service is wonderful. The front desk will do whatever is needed to make your stay more enjoyable.

Room Tip: Get the upgraded room and enjoy the view.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, felt the room upgrade was disappointing. As I am a ambassador member I got a upgrade but the cost for a standard room I would have been very unhappy, for a five star establishment only received bottled water one night of our three, not very good. The club lounge was very good, the staff in the club lounge were very friendly, helpful and professional. The Theo Randell restaurant was first class, the food and service very good and I strongly recommend.
