“Typically English - Fantastic Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

My wife and i recently visited London for a night out with family, we were looking for a small luxury hotel close to Sloane Square - we were recommended this Hotel by friends. Typically English, it has a warm feel about it the moment you walk into the Hotel. We opted for a Deluxe room and this proved an excellent choice, complimentary champagne and fruit was provided. The room was spacious and furnished/presented to a high standard, perfect - exactly as we had been told by friends. The staff at the hotel were very polite, helpful and friendly and made our stay memorable. The location was perfect for our stay, with bus routes and tube giving access to all parts of the city. Breakfast was excellent, restaurant service was swift and professional. When we come to London in the future we will definitely stay at this Hotel.

Stayed for two nights in a "Deluxe" double room. The staff are very attentive, perhaps even too much so. The public rooms are superb with a "library" type room to the front and a exquisitely decorated and furnished lounge to the rear which has a small open courtyard accessed from this room. The bedroom was of a reasonable standard but given the high cost of this hotel the stains on the walls (condensation?) and on the carpet was not good enough. The beds were however probably the most comfortable that we have ever slept in with very high quality bedding. The location is excellent being only a couple of hundred yards from Sloane Square with its underground station but neatly tucked away in a quiet residential square. The lift was quite an experience being of the old manual grille and double outer doors type but all the more charming for that. The stairs and corridors with dark stained creaky wood and old pictures and lighting made for a atmospheric feel better than the "antiseptic" feel of modern hotels.
However the cost of staying in this hotel is, we believe, overpriced.
This stay was marred somewhat by a call on our return home from the fraud department of the credit card company that was used to pay for the hotel (in advance) to query whether a £50 debit by the hotel was a genuine transaction to which the reply was no! It transpired that the hotel staff had collected this further sum as a deposit towards "extras" but none of the staff had bothered to tell us that they were doing this. Of course they assured us that the sum would be reimbursed "within 5 days" but if you stay at this hotel you should check whether the hotel has retained details of your credit card and intend to take further money from your account.

My partner and I stayed in London over the weekend to see some Theatre productions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No 11. Beautiful, unique and it was also such a bonus to be in the very heart of London!

Will be returning in the Summer for another weekend.

What an outstanding and elegant boutique hotel!! From the Head Concierge Richie Long and his able and knowledgable second Will to the entire staff, including the lovely greeter Eva, we can not say enough positive things about our week's stay at 11 Cadogan Gardens. It is forever more our go to hotel when visiting London. Thank you all for making this trip so memorable. Shelley and Elliott Dorfler

No 11 is a Small Luxury Hotel of the World which I always prefer to accommodate in. I particularly like the boutique bedrooms with marble bathrooms and the attention to detail. The location is perfect, just off Sloane Square and a 10-minute walk from Knightsbridge.

The restaurant was very enjoyable, I had a 3 course dinner here with my partner, the waiting staff were very informed, polite and helped us select our choice. The ambiance was perfect and we felt very relaxed here.

I would recommend this hotel for those that enjoy a good atmosphere and service.

Stayed at No11 Cadogan Gardens for 2 nights last week with my wife. we had a lovely quiet, although a little tatty around some of the edges, room with nice views across Cadogan Gardens. The situation cannot be faulted, close to Sloane sq. Kings Rd, Knightsbridge etc.perfect. The only things that let it down for me were 1) No Tea & Coffee facilities in the room. 2) Requested an iron & ironing board to iron a shirt but it never arrived.3) Asked for a plaster having cut my finger. They didnt have any!! God help anybody in their kitchens if they happen to cut themselves!!!!! 4) Requested a hot water bottle for my wife who was suffering with a migraine-it usually helps- but guess what? They didnt have one!! 5) and finally ordered a pot of tea on our morning of departure, I do like a cup of tea when I wake up!!, but when it arrived,@£4.50 a pot, there were no sweetners or sugar!! I gave up and we departed quietly back to our beloved county of Yorkshire. All little things,I know, but things that make a difference. You are so close to getting it right and when we return hopefully the little things will have been sorted.
This is my first review I have ever done as I never usually complain about anything but I just felt I needed to say something!!
