This is the second time at this hotel. The reception area is very inviting with chandeliers all over the place. The room was very clean and comfortable. The deal was bed breakfast and a bottle of wine for two for eighty pounds. Superb value. It is about thirty minutes on the underground to centre of London but you can get a day ticket for eight pounds unlimited travel zone two. That said, I would still go back again.

Room Tip: The bigger rooms overlook the bay

Good location but hotel is quite dated and shabby and could very much do being renovated. Leisure club is especially dated (peeling paint, broken tiles in pool) and is the only hotel pool I have been in where they have charged residents. Food is quite bland and obviously microwaved rather than being freshly cooked. Cleanliness not the best and the staff seem a bit confused having been told contradictory things on checking in by different members of staff. Given the range of hotels in the same price range around Docklands would recommend staying at one of them.

I booked this hotel through “Trivago” pretty much last minute. The idea being to have somewhere to stay for in the day after Boxing day sales in London. At just over £50 for the night I would say on face value it would be well worth it, after all you can pay nearly double that for an uninspiring Premier Inn.
The location was great (only 3 miles from Westfields Stratford City) and about half an hour on the DLR/underground from the West End.
Parking at the hotel was more or less OK – it’s nice that the car park is under cover but if you have a reasonable size car you might find some of the slopes and turns a bit daunting as its very small. And expensive £3 per hour (9am-6pm) £15 overnight (6pm-9am) or £21 for 24hrs. On our second day we decided it would be cheaper to park the car at Westfields and catch the Underground from there (£5 to park all day) rather than pay £3 per hour if we left the car at the hotel.
The room was perfectly adequate for the price with everything working and where it should be. Everything was clean, no complaints there either. A good supply of coffee and tea just to finish things off nicely too.
Our room was on the 9th floor facing East towards the O2 – Being pretty high up gave us a great view of Canary Wharf and the North Greenwich skyline including the O2 and you could even see the Emirates Cable car – although you did get a little noise from the Docklands Light Railway as you look down on it, but to be fair that’s all part of the “London experience to us.”

We didn’t eat at this hotel as we wanted to see what we could find amongst the various restaurants in Canary wharf so can’t comment on that subject however we did notice the Indian restaurant “Spice” located in the hotel was very reasonably priced. We did however have a drink or two at the end of our evening which was very pleasant, nice comfy chairs, a good evening view and no problem with topping up a Vodka and Coke with a little more Coke unlike some jobs worth hotels we have stayed in.

All in all I would recommend and definitely use this hotel again if I can get it for a similar price

Room Tip: Higher room the better in my opinion purely for the views - OK so it's not so it's not Las V...

Our package was, in general, excellent.

The one and only problem I had was with the buffet breakfast and dinner which were only good if carefully selected. After a couple of days, I'd learnt how to do it - avoid eggs at breakfast and avoid the carvery selection at dinner.

On the other hand, the hotel is luxurious, the room perfect (I had an "executive studio" on 11th floor with a balcony and outstanding views) and the staff were unobtrussive, helpful and efficient - exactly as required!

I have no complaints about the facilities and if the food had been better, this would undoubtedly have deserved four stars. Indeed, go for "room only" and have a perfect stay!

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back, overlooking the dock, the wharf and with a view of the O2 Arena - th...

This hotel is a warm and inviting place to stay. Our room was big with a king size bed. The decor was a but dated but the size and comfort of the room made up for this. The staff were polite and friendly/ The food was excellent.. Shops on Canary Wharf and Tube nearby. All in all a very nice place to stay.

The room was a reasonable size and had a large bathroom with a nice deep bath but the decor was pretty dated, chintzy and uncoordinated and the wall paper was peeling in places. However, it was all clean and I had a comfortable night.
I had dinner in the hotels pizzaria and the only positive I have for it was that it was reasonably priced by hotel standards BUT the 'rare' steak I requested was fatty and not at all pink but ironically (given how over cooked the meat was) the meal was not hot. The choice of wines available by the glass was very limited and the glass of sparkling wine that I ordered was flat and warm (I imagine that the bottle had been open for days because you could poor the drink from one glass to another without it frothing up).
I got the room for £47 and would stay again at that sort of price but wouldn't pay the full rate - that said, I'm not sure that anyone ever does, it always seems to be available at under £100 whilst showing you that the full rate you sould be paying is over £200, I certainly wouldn't pay that!

This was my first time away for christmas. Was so looking forward to not cooking on Xmas day!!!! Wish I had stayed at home. The rest of the meals were ok. Nice chicken curry, Salmon and salad, nice soups. Even the pate starter was nice on Dec 25th, But the main meal, YUK!!!! One rock hard sprout, frozen carrots and swede, I imagine frozen roaster, and preformed turkey!!!!!!! one spoonful of gravy. It was disaster with a capital D!!!!!!! even xmas puds was pretty YUK!!! Ok there was about 400 of us to serve, as coach holiday. But they knew this before hand. So why the terrible lunch. The Hotel it's self was lovely. Room was fine, but very very hot. Had to keep calling reception for someone to come and unbolt the window. Bed a bit lumpy. The trips were fab, so this made up for it. Thankyou to Steve our driver from wales!!!!!! I would visit this hotel again.....just not at christmas!!!

Room Tip: Choose a room not opposite the train!!!! as it goes all night long. Also ask for a cooler room. We w...
