“Don't miss this museum”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

The Churchill War Rooms are a "must see" for anyone spending time in London. My husband is a history buff, but for those of us who are not, this museum is still captivating and so informative. You can easily picture the lives of those in the British government during the bombings of WW2.

“Stand where Churchill stood while he defeated tyranny”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Of all the museums that we have visited recently, this was the most impressive. The audio guide is well done and the place itself is the exhibit! These people achieved so much with practically nothing apart from some telephones, typewriters and a teleprinter. No computers, no faxes, no email.

Go and absorb the atmosphere, then think of the people who spent uncertain years trying to save the world.

Fantastic!

“Enjoyed it more than I thought I would”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Very atmospheric - the walk through the war rooms was great and the audio units (for once) very easy to use. Museum was okay too, but immersing oneself in the atmosphere of the war rooms was the main attraction. Doesn't take a huge amount of time and we were out of there in 90 minutes.

“The WWII vets were especially moved”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

The bunker where the British government carried out business during the blitz was preserved nicely. The included audio tour was very informative. There were several other visitors that were WWII vets or lived thru that period here in the UK. They said it brought back many memories of that tough time.
