One of my favorite places to visit at least once or twice. Eerily it appears that one day they were working underground in the War Rooms during WWII and just never came back the next morning. Very well done for giving you a sense of what it was like to be working (and living) there during the London Blitz.

An absolute must do, however do buy tickets in advance as there will be a less of a queue. Be aware that they let you in a few at a time to try and ensure you aren't too crammed.

However once you are in, grab the audio guide and let the stories guide you through this attraction. Once you get to the main Churchill museum you can get totally lost. It's very interactive and like most museums there is an overload of information.

Absolutely loved it.

I last visited the war rooms 20 years ago and was loved it - again I was not disappointed. We bought IWM membership and went through the priority line - worth doing if your visiting another IWM attraction in London. I would recommend that you do this early in the day as it is a standing / walking museum. Winstons exhibition was excellent and we could have spent 1 1/2 hours just reading about him however we became uncomfortable due to tired feet and heavy bags - they do not allow large bags in. It is not great for young children as the exhibits are factual also at point the walkway narrows and it’s a tight squeeze to get past a pram. If you have the choice I would wear a baby in a sling. The cafe is great for very light refreshments but as you would expect it’s a little closed in being in a bunker!

We visited the Churchill Rooms on Saturday 10th November. As IWM members we got in as priority visitors at 8.30am. Great, as we had the place to ourselves with no crowds. We really enjoyed the whole experience and found the place a fantastic experience. Well worth a visit.

See what it was like as a worker or one of the big decision makers of the war. Went as part of a group, so got in quickly. They also had a cafe, food looked nice, but I did not stop there. It's quite a big place, so leave enough time.

We went to the Churchill War Rooms in London not sure what to expect. It was just so fantastic to see where he lived during most of WWII. There were so many interactive areas, even the young children liked it. I was only disappointed by the queue we had to wait in as we were not certain of our arrival time we could not book early to go into the fast track.

Highly recommend if you enjoy history. Recommend you pre buy tickets online as you are then fast tracked straight to the front of the queue.

There are 2 main areas in the museum - war rooms where the government moved into during war time and opened in 2005 Winston Churchil's museum.

Very well preserved war rooms, like it was still used last week. A lot of details, information, historical background. For sure worth seeing and must see for history/military/war passionates.
1,5-2 hours is probably a minimum stay although you can easily spend a half day there.

Make sense to book online - you book a time slot so no unnecessary queuing. Also 10% discount if booked online. You can have your tickets on your phone.

We luckily had no line. We went an hour before closing and go to see everything with no waiting in line! The history is known of course but to see it how it was used in WWll was fascinating!

This is a fabulous museum for anyone interested in World War 2. Definitely recommend and also recommend buying tickets in advance on-line as the waits for tickets at the door are very long. Highly recommend.
