Great self-guided tour, amazing information, my son and I learned some much about WWII and the war rooms that we have never seen in the States.

This exhibit is truly a window to history. The war rooms are preserved in most cases just as they were the day Churchill walked out of them at the end of WWII. One can truly get a sense of what is was like to live and work there. A fabulous new addition since my last visit in the Churchill museum. It is a fabulous overview of his life with many artifacts and hands on opportunities to explore. This is one of our favorite London experiences.

If you're into Churchill, 2nd world War history, this is a really great place to spend a few hours. Advice? - set aside enough time to really explore the interactive stuff in the Churchill museum part. It will take a minimum of two hours to do it credit.

There is an amazing and huge interactive 'table' covering the years of Churchill's life - with information not only about events he was involved with, but events of importance during his life-time, such as the sinking of the Titanic. It functions on overhead projectors and computers. You can select months and often days, that have copies of letters, photos, or some sort of sound and/or visual effect eg selecting the date of the sinking of the Titanic turns the entire tabletop to a watery memorial, and the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima turns the table top into a whiteout with sound effects, followed by stark statistical information. Truly amazing!

Unfortunately, the guide docs don't tell you which are the important dates - so unless you already are a history buff with these dates locked into your brain, you might never actually experience the full extent of this amazing display.

The conditions for the 100+ people who worked and basically lived down here were not exactly the Hilton!! Gives a very good sense of the reality of life in wartime conditions, and doesn't minimise the flaws of the man Churchill was. Comprehensive history of his life, his family and his schooling, military experience and political life.

My husband and I loved this museum. We love history and this museum is very very well done. There are so many interactive and modern exhibits. The only negative thing we had was not being able to say longer due to the time restraints of our tour group. We are definitely going back one day.

If you are interested in the Second World War and the period surrounding it, this is an ideal location. There is a good commentary, and the restoration is excellent. Ideal for fans of Winston Churchill. Not cheap, but reasonable value.
