Perfect location for the Hippodrome and theatreland, staff really friendly and obliging. Our room was quite small with the bath in the room, however it had everything you need and good value for London!

We stayed here on a Sunday night after a weekend at The Grand in Brighton. Total opposite of our weekend hotel but really loved it. Only 15 rooms quite minimal but very welcoming. The staff were wonderful & nothing was to much trouble no tea or coffee in rooms but reception happy to oblige with a cafetiere & brandies. Our room on floor 5 was clean bright & surprisingly spacious lots of storage & a very comfy bed. Lovely bathroom with L'Occitane products & large fluffy towels & robes. Ideal for the theatre & plenty of places to eat afterwards in China Town. We would definitely stay again & recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Floor 5 at the back lovely rooftop views

We stayed mid-week for the night, after eating at the excellent restaurant down stairs. Great room, cool bar, in the heart of Leicester squ. Only negative was the noise outside our window until early hours-but to be expected in a central location.

Dear Guest, many thanks for taking the time to leave us such informative feedback, and help other future guests to get an idea of the experience they will have. We are glad that you enjoyed our bar and restaurant. Our gourmet chef is continuously experimenting away to find new tastes to bring to the table, to keep it fresh and different for our returning guests. We are sorry about the outside noise, but we hope that hasn't put you off our venue. We hope to have the honour of having you stay with us again in the future. Kind regards Darryl Saunders

I booked this through an agent that specialised in Boutique Hotels, well this was not really Boutique. Small, yes.
Stayed in the Thistle close by in the past and that gave greater value for money.
15 rooms, 4 on floors 2, 3 & 4 and 3 on floor 5, one of them being a suite. We were in 503 overlooking the street which was OK. There was noise from revellers, but nothing to keep us fully awake all night.
Nice bathroom with a good shower over the bath, missed a heated mirror. l'occitain shower gels were very nice.
Breakfast was very odd, grouped into three categories, you could have one from each section only. The sausage was very under cooked, almost raw.

Room Tip: There are some advertised where the bath is in the bedroom? Check them out first.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it is always important to hear how our guests feel. We are sorry you felt that your room was too small. Unfortunately, we are not able to make any of the rooms bigger as we are a listed building, but we do take your comments very seriously. We are glad that you enjoyed your bathroom facilities, and will be taking your comment about the heated mirror to management to look into. We apologise for your sausage being under cooked. We would always provide another breakfast if a guest feels their meal is substandard. We shall be looking into this, and making sure it does not happen again. many thanks and kind regards, Darryl Sounders

Stayed at this hotel for one night whilst in London for a celebration. Fantastic spot if you want to be in the thick if it. Leicester Square, Chinatown, Regent Street etc all on your doorstep. Quite noisy but to be expected really, didn't bother us that much. Rooms lovely, quite quirky with a 'Seaside' theme. Clean and simple but effective design. Not a fan of having the bath/shower in the bedroom but we coped for one night. Liked the L'Occitane toiletries and good sized, good quality towels. Comfortable double bed. Wifi free and reliable. Minibar a bit pricey. Breakfast was excellent in terms of taste, quality of ingredients, portion size and presentation. Choice a little limited. Would have liked to see full English on the menu. Also thought it was a bit mean to only offer tea/coffee OR fruit juice. I like both with my breakfast. Service a tad slow but good otherwise.
Would stay here again but a bit pricey to stay for more than one night.

I was tempted not to write a review as i don't want anyone else knowing about the incredible cocktail bar in One Leicester St... The Talented Mr Fox is the best bartender in the UK, hands down. It's a super slick bar that is great for impressing your date/friends/boss...

The hotel entrance is not inviting with a very small dark reception area but the staff are very welcoming.

Stayed in room 401 which looks onto the light well, so no view. There is a noisy extractor fan but as it's a constant noise it's not a problem. the room was very light and airy, shaker style. A little quirky with the bath in the room but just it shows this on the hotel web site. Good comfortable bed and pillows.

Restaurant meal very good with unusual combinations, loved it. Staff so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast as it was different and not the same food as other hotels.

Would definitely stay here again if I was going to the theatre, so convenient.
