Having sampled three other hotels in central London this one ranks top for service, location and room decor. Not to mention the wonderful helpful and cheerful reception staff and cleaning staff.
Downside was and reviewer brianchurm found, the inclusive breakfast. Totally agree and perhaps it would have been better had they not mentioned an inclusive breakfast, we would have still paid the same room rate and as when staying elsewhere we would have had breakfast out. After all there are many and varied places to eat and drink on the doorstep in Soho which are excellent. We stayed in a room on the fourth floor which had a separate large bathroom after requesting to be moved from one on the fifth floor which had the noise of the fan which would have annoyed me in the quiet of the night. My problem which was solved by the lovely receptionist. Just must mention the cheerful reception man who made it a joy to leave and return each time. Bar was good as was the evening meal in downstairs restaurant too.
Thankyou all.

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to give us feedback, and help us know where we need to improve.

We are delighted that you received such excellent customer service, as that is at the core of what we are all about. We shall be passing your comments onto the receptionist who was on duty during your stay, and it will be used during an annual appraisal.

Regarding the fans, we really do apologise for the noise and the upheaval you endured by changing rooms. We are investigating this issue, and although we currently do not have any more information to offer you at this point, please be assured that we are taking this extremely seriously.

We always tell guests that there is breakfast included during their stay so they know that they are receiving good value for money. We are taking your comment to the next management meeting this week though because we need to objectively look at all comments that come in.

We are extremely happy that you enjoyed your food and the bar facilities. Our hardworking chef is always constantly revising the menu and bringing new tastes to the table. We hope that you will stay with us again so you can experience even more fantastic food.
Many thanks and kind regards, Darryl Saunders

Just came back today after an overnight stay.

great hotel rooms cant complain, but no tea making facilities in the room,,

Having paid £170 for one nights stay the receptionist said very nicely we provide a complimentary breakfast! I should think so for that price,,however it wasn't very complimentary at all,,its advertised as full English breakfast provided but its not a full English breakfast its a choice of upper class rubbish where you choose one option from three lists,,have one more drink of orange juice or coffee and you have to pay for them,,we paid £6-19 for a coffee and orange juice at breakfast, so be prepared to eat out and get two good solid English breakfasts for the price of two extra drinks at the hotel !!
We had toast which frankly was rock hard and was some sort of weird bread we had never seen before,,tooth breakers to be honest
good location but guys this is England, people want English breakfasts and tradition,,ie tea!!, that's why tourists come

Shame really as its a nice place in a great location but spoilt by untraditional ways.

Room Tip: rooms are great, but no tea making facilities in any of them

Dear Guest, thank you firstly for choosing our One Leicester Street. We take all of our guests' comments very seriously, and we apologise for falling below your expectations. We can say, however, that we are making it standard to have tea in every room. Our guests' satisfaction is quintessentially what our values are about, and if that means we need to make changes, then we do. Regarding the breakfast issue, we are speaking with Booking.com about this. It appears that the wrong menu was advertised, and we do apologise for your disappointment. We would love to have you back again to prove we can do not just better - we want perfection for you. We fully take on board your comments regarding how much we charge for 'extras' at breakfast, and we are raising it with management. Our reception staff is trained to mention which meals are inclusive so that as a guest; you receive no nasty surprises on the bill upon check-out. We want you to feel that you are getting value for your money at all times. Many thanks and kind regard, Darryl Saunders.

Stayed here for a romantic few days in Decemeber. From arrival to departure all the staff were friendly, helpful and personal, sorting out anything we asked for. The room was lovely, we asked for the open plan bathroom/bedroom although it may not be to everyone's taste! Chinatown on your doorstep and a short walk from Piccadilly and lots of the main theatres. Breakfast was lovely and so were the cocktails in the bar - although book if you want to get a table there on a weekend evening.

The only negative was the slight noise made by the fan next door; we were told this on arrival and also that it was being looked into,it didn't affect us very much anyway! Will definitely look to stay here again.

Firstly the positives , Hubby booked this as a surprise night away , amazing location especially this time of year . Polite staff on arrival , clean quirky room and comfy bed . Slightly surprised by bath openly next to bed but as a married couple that wasn't an issue !

Negatives , no hot drink making facility just an over stocked over priced mini bar . Our window was over a very noisy kitchen extracter fan that was extremely loud even with window shut . Phoned down to be told that it was the building next door and they would see what they could do , they never contacted us back or answered phone when we re rang . It eventually got turned off after midnight and came back on ... Loudly .. At 5am !!!

Breakfast was rather chaotic taking over 25 minutes from ordering for porridge to arrive and a further 5 to get the fruit that was meant to be with it , that turned out to be 6 2cm squared pieces of pear between two of us ! The rest took just as long to arrive .

On booking out we re addressed the noisy extractor fan issue to be told contact the local council ! Thanks

We chose the hotel due to its relatively close proximity to Soho where we were dining in the evening. Located on the boundary of Chinatown and very close to Leicester Square, food and entertainment choices are many and varied. The hotel's restaurant is Michelin rated.

Rooms are compact but well equipped. Sleep quality is excellent. The highlight of our stay was the superb and very tasty breakfast. Serving staff were friendly and helpful and the freshness/quality of the food served made our start to the day a memorable one.

Fantastic location right in the middle of Leicester square and off china town, friendlyand quick service at reception, they had our request for early check in which was a bonus, rooms comfortable with everything needed for a perfect stay really quiet, ample space and didn't mind the quirky bathroom next to bed, dressing gown and slippers a luxury and great flat screen tv with iPod docking station.
Breakfast was served in the chic restaurant nicely cooked and excellent friendly service, would fully recommend and will definitely be returning
