I booked the hotel and then read the reviews here on Trip Advisor, and they weren't good, so I wasn't expecting much. The hotel was better than I thought, I was in a doulbe room at the back on the ground floor (P), good sized room, clean and comfortable, there was a slight smell of food as it was above the kitchen, but I opened the window and it soon disappeared. If I need a hotel in Dulwich again, I would stay there again.

We stayed at this Hostel!! ooh sorry it felt more like a hostel than a hotel!!! the room was tiny very outdated ..old fashioned...stained carpets... and all round shabby place to stay..
Far to expensive ..... our room had no en suite and the nearest toilet was on the ground floor ..we were in the attic...ill fitting sheets very uncomfortable to try and sleep as the sheets kept comming out from under the matress !!! Breakfast was a joke!!! one bacon one cheap egg and some cheap beans!!! nothing else on the plate!! never asked if we wanted more toast or orange juice..What a rip off this place is .. i would rather sleep on the park bench than have to stay here again!!!

My husband and I stayed here for one night on a trip to London to meet up with friends. We chose the hotel for its convenient location in dulwich. Ordinarily I would have chosen a plush 4 or 5 star hotel in central London. However, It was more convenient to stay in Dulwich.

Big mistake...

I wish I'd stayed central london in a nicer hotel. Upon arrival our key was provided and the room pointed at. The staff member then disappeared and wasnt available for the remainder of our stay.

The room was large but disapointingly appointed. The bed had ill fitting sheets and a duvet cover that didnt fit the too large duvet and wouldnt fasten at the end. Therefore the duvet was spilling out. The sheets seemed clean, but due to the illfitting nature it wasnt a comfortable bed to sleep in. The windows rattled and let in all of the street noise.

The decor was dated and shabby.

Tea and coffee facilities were of a minimum.

The TV screen was so small and fitted so high into the ceiling that I would have needed magnified glasses to watch it.

Thankfully we only stayed one night and left early the next morning.

Annoyed that for £15 more I could have stayed in a lovely central london hotel.

The word hotel is a misnomer - it is more like a hostel and a poor one at that. Our bedroom was very basic and rather tired - bedroom furniture and fittings the most basic of everything, and the shower room not good. The breakfast was very paltry (the food seemed to be very cheap). I accept the daily rate is low for London standards but the owners are pennypinching and there is no excuse for this. The only 2 positive things I can say about it are that the room was warm and the bedlinen was clean.
