I travelled by tube. I used my phone as a satnav to find it. As far as I can tell you enter though a roadway under the hotel. If you arrive by car or coach you get dropped off by the door. The look inside the hotel is modern. The multi lingual staff are efficient and friendly. The room was the standard fare and as expected. The hotel is very big and caters for conferences. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Still no real decaff coffee!

Room Tip: Higher the better. You will hear some road noise.

Our hotel has 5 different entrances which makes the access very easy. I was sorry to hear you had to use your phone for directions. I would like to thank you for writing such positive comments in regards to our hotel staff. We are indeed multilingual in the hotel, always happy and able to assist guests from all around the world.

We do have Nespresso sachets decaff coffee available upon demand at breakfast. Did you ask any of our staff members to assist you? Decaff filter coffee is not something we provide as unfortunately the demand is extremely low.

When walking into this hotel, we were very impressed with the surroundings. The overall look was 10/10 but sadly the service was disappointing...me and my partner ordered some in room food service which did not arrive on time and by the time we came around to eat it, the fire alarm went off...we were assured that this was not a test however this severely disturbed our food as by the time we got back into the hotel which was after 11pm, it was cold. we asked if we could order more food and were told no as it is too late!. the next morning when checking out, we complained at the fact that we were stuck with cold food due to a fire drill. the manager stated that they are only going to refund the money if we find the receipt of the food as they had lost their copy! hardly our fault (you would think such an establishment would keep copies of such things). as we were unable to locate our copy, the manager began telling us it was OUR Fault for not eating the food on time so we are not refunding anything unless a receipt is found! HOW RUDE!....after waiting almost 45 minutes for a manager to try and locate the receipt which wasted our valuable time they finally found it, only to be advised that in fact they WONT refund us regardless of finding the receipt! nothing made sense and we were told that we were speaking to the highest of authority and that no compensation will be given. We felt extremely let down as it was not our fault that this had happened yet we were made to feel we were. not once did ANYONE apologise for the inconvenience or sympathise - hotel was just worried about saving a few pennies!!! extremely disappointed.

Decided to take my family to London to celebrate my 5 year olds birthday weekend. It's was a sensible price for one night so we decided to book. On arrival the front of house were very helpful and inviting, family room was basic and but clean and tidy, A/C in room didn't work so very very hot in the room. Service in the bar area a little slow and not very attentive. After a busy day we got the kids back to the room, all well apart from being woken by the fire alarm at 11.30 we started to get our clothes on and the kids out of bed, then the alarm was silenced. We relaxed and got the children back to bed and then the alarm went off again some 3-4 minutes later. We evacuated the building and we were one of the first to leave, but there was mass confusion in the building. No staff could be found until we reached the final exit and there was only one there waving us to the front of the building. We had to wait at the front of the building and then after 5 minutes asked to move round to the side, then immediately told we could go back in!! The follow day many of the guests were aware that a fellow guest had accidentally pushed a call point in the conference area. When checking out of the hotel there was no questions around our stay (mandatory procedure when checking out) in fact there was no interaction at all, just seemed they wanted to keep quiet about the entire ordeal. I had to ask the receptionist who said she didn't know and they were still investigating, she got the duty manager who said they will still investigating the incident, standard line! Even thought this building has an intelligent fully addressable fire alarm system, so it tells you exactly what occurred. I'm afraid the emergency procedures were very poor indeed, the alarm should not have been silenced as it was a call point that was triggered, this means an instant evacuation. Someone silenced the alarm and then thought better of it, as it was triggered again some 3-4 minutes after. The next day I decided to take a look at some final fire exits to see how we'll there were managed, it didn't take long to see a piano and a tv on a stand blocking a fire exit in the bar! Just be cautious of not only this hotel for emergency procedures as they clearly are not prepared, but other hotels will have similar issues in this field. Just know your exits, use the closest one, not just the way you entered the building as most people will head for this one - Safe travels

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback regarding the full evacuation of the hotel on Saturday the 15th June.

We appreciate your comments in regards to the lack of visible staff assisting with the evacuation on the upper floors. However due to the size of the building sending staff upstairs would only delay the evacuation and put people’s life at risk; this is why our fire alarm can be heard throughout the building.

In addition, the fire evacuation procedures and fire exit signage are available in each bedroom and around all public areas of the hotel with directions to the nearest fire exits and assembly point. Fire marshals were located at key points outside and inside the hotel to greet guests when they came down to the 1st and ground floors. I am sure you can appreciate that our primary concern during such events is for our guests and staff to leave the premises until the fire brigade comes in and gives us the all clear.

I am happy to confirm the technical matters you mentioned in your review were picked up by our internal team and have been rectified straightaway.

On a positive note, I was delighted to hear our Front Desk team had been helpful throughout your stay as this is something we pride ourselves on.

I sincerely hope you will give us the chance to welcome you back to the Novotel London West in the future; and also would like to take this opportunity to wish your 5 years old son a happy belated birthday.

Stayed in this hotel prior to a three week trip around the British Isles. Very close to the underground (250 m), Very large hotel, service was great, rooms big with queen size beds, naturally came with big ensuite. Windows opened to ease the indoor temperature, most rooms are too hot in Winter. The cooked English breakfast was very good and included in our room cost. One of the ways to beat expensive food costs at the hotel was to book Dinner, Bed and breakfast on one of their specials.

Hotel was very expensive. Rooms OK, room service very good. Reception not great. Gym pretty decent. Food was excellent (the club sandwich I ordered via room service is the best I've ever had, honest)!

The hotel is convinient, in a good location, very close to the Hammersmith tube.
The staff is friendly and helpful.

There was a problem with wi-fi, the signal wasn't that good and it was very slow. The food is average.

It's a good business accomodation, not sure worth the price they ask, but it's London.
