“Great for tube & museums”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

on arrival (early ) we were allowed to check in with no delays the room on first inspection just as expected (grand suite ) we did have 2 little issues which were resolved swiftly by the duty manager.
our room was on the 3rd floor, so quite if you were on the lower floors there could be a issue with views etc due to air con pipe work.
Breakfast was good with a choice hot & cold dishes ( but very busy ) bar area large size with good log fire roaring away should you be cold ,there was 2 functions on (sat night ) so the bar did fill up pretty quickly .
so to sum up good value for money and good location for 4 star hotel .

Room Tip: did not use spa so can not comment

We picked this hotel because of it's position and reviews and was very pleased with it. The hotel is oppersite the V&A museum and just down the road from The Natural History Museum. Also Harrods is only a short walk away and so too is South Kensington tube station.
The Hotel is very nice and so too is the buffet style breakfast. We had a club room which was a good size with a huge bed and single sofa bed for my 6 year old.
Overall our stay was very pleasant and we will probably return.

Got a great deal with British Airways for a last minute flight and stay at The Rembrandt. It's an all around wonderful hotel. The location is spot-on for getting the Underground, visiting the beautiful V&A Museum, Harrod's and enjoying the South Ken area. Just a block away, you can enjoy great takeaway and sit down restaurants. The crepe place and wonderful tapas restaurants are especially good.
The room was well suited for us, the staff was helpful and the breakfast more than ample. Don't hesitate to stay at The Rembrandt!
*note: Getting in and out of the shower might be difficult for some as the tub is slightly raised. Inquire if this is a concern.

We chose the Rembrandt because of its location and ease of access to so many places. With the V&A and Natural History museum across the street and Harrod's and Hyde Park only a few blocks away, this was a great place to stay. Just around the corner from the South Kensington Tube station (on the Picadilly line making travel to Heathrow a simple and single Tube ride), the service was great, the concierge service was on top of my requests, and the rooms were comfortable. Our reservation came with a complimentary breakfast and while I thought it would be a standard "Continental breakfast" we were offered a full-fare breakfast ranging from eggs, sausage, toasts, breads, mushrooms, bacon, ham, cheeses, teas, juices and coffee.

I would recommend the Rembrandt in a heart beat and will make it my first choice when we go back again.

Room Tip: We had a room that faced the back and it kept things quiet.

Stayed overnight but we were able to leave our luggage all day. Very convenient for all serious shoppers and ideal for the V&A and Science Museum. Kensington Garden a short step away.
A good breakfast buffet included. The room was small but a huge and comfortable bed, airconditioning, tea and coffee facilities and well stocked bar fridge.
All staff very friendly and helpful.
The bar was very pleasant.
Definitely use this one again both for convenience and reasonable price.

Room Tip: rooms were small but book the best you are willing to pay for, I feel all standards will be good.

The Rembrandt is very well located for most of the London Museums and is two minutes walk to the Underground, Circle and District line, so you can just about reach most of London's attractions.
Our purpose was to visit an exhibition at Olympia, which was only two stops on the underground.
The staff on reception were friendly and efficient, although, the young lady looking after us, could not pronouce"Worcestershire" correctly. The room 175 was allocated but one of the radiators was not working and the room was extremely cold. I was able to turn the smaller radiator on which produced heat.

Having travelled from Worcestershire that day by train, we decided to have an early dinner. There was only two other people in the restaurant. We were disappointed again that the restaurant was cold, it did not appear to have any heating on at all. The food was average although the service and staff were good. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choice. The hot breakfast was good too.

Service in the bar area was also good. All the hotel needs to do is to ensure that they get the temperatures right in the room and restaurant.
