I will simply say that this place is awful. It looks as though it hasn't been decorated or cared for since the 70's. The furniture is dirty and falling apart, the rooms are dirty. There are no kettles and the TV did not have a remote. Upon my complaints, the staff were rude and looked as though to say they did not believe me when I explained how bad their room was.

We had a very pleasing and quiet stay of 5 nights, good breakfast and friendly staff. Bus- and Tube-Connections nearby. 5 min to Victoria Station. 3 min away a row of indian and asian restaurants and foodmarkets.

Great price, nice location, kind staff and good service (ask for room 19 if you want a toilet in your room). English breakfast is perfectly done (not buffet, fresh for you, just the right size). Three blocks walk from Victoria Rail Station (exit Victoria Underground, follow blue "Passport Office" line, turn left at Belgrave, two and a half blocks -- or pick up a Barclays Bike at the terminal and ride quickly "home"), one mile south of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliment. Half a mile from musical show venues (Victoria, Apollo Victoria, more), two Barclays Bikeshare stations are half a block away, MANY MANY pubs and restaurants (truly international, not just chip shops, pub grub and curry houses) within two square blocks. Vauxhall Bridge under one mile southeast (great for a morning run). Room 19's in-room bathroom is small, but I only use it for showering, shaving and... a couple more things... not living in. The room is just the right size for a couple, close friends or solo. AND free wifi. :)

Room Tip: Rooms "25, 24 and 23" are on the ground floor -- not recommended. Room 22 (first floor...

We stayed as a young couple for 3 nights just before Christmas.

On arrival the man on reception said we hadn't paid, we had and questioned him. He quickly checked and was apologetic, an easy mistake however just something to watch.

The rooms are very basic and clean. We had fresh towels and the room tidied every day. Didn't use the Wifi but our television would only show one channel and even then the signal was blurry.

Rooms were very warm but this was ok seen as it was so cold outside.

The shower was not good at all; either boiling hot or freezing cold - had to be very quick.

Breakfast is included and great value for a budget hotel. Staff were quick and helpful. Warning the breakfast room is tiny!

The location is great, we did all the London sight seeing and tourist attractions by foot each day.

The walls are very thin so you can hear people walking around etc. At night however the hotel seemed to be quiet so there were no problems sleeping.

There was no hold room for our luggage - another man on reception said we could leave it in the waiting room for the day but as it was going to be for 10 hours roughly we paid for the Excess Baggage service at Victoria Station which was very straightforward and not too expensive.

If you just want somewhere to crash each night in the centre of London then this hotel is recommended. Unless we could find another hotel with a cheap price in a great location we would stay here again.
