Hazlitts was as sweet and charming as shown on its website. It is on a quiet block but near all the action and very centrally located. Great food and bars within one block. The staff were very friendly and helpful, We had a deluxe room which was huge and sooo comfortable and everything we saw from all the public rooms to our own room were in fantastic shape. We have stayed in London several times, often in Mayfair, but have decided the Hazlitt is our one and only choice for London from now on.

A very pleasant stay just for one night - chose the hotel due to its location and the reviews that I had read. We were upgraded to a suite - which was beautifully decorated - the only criticism is that the bed was not very large - but it was very comfortable all the same. Loved the sumptuous decor - a great change from the usual modern decor at most hotels. Also had a great Victorian copper rain shower.
Hope to return.

I would highly recomend Hazlitt's. Located in the heart of SOHO, close to every major attraction in London. Cozy, charming hotel with great staff and wonderful accomodations.

We stayed for my birthday, as a treat. This place is the antithesis of cheesy bland American chain hotels, or the sad overpriced tourist barracks you can find in West London. But be prepared for smaller, darker rooms, elegant but not 21st century plumbing - oh, and beautiful furnishings and outstanding service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and breakfast was perfect. Given the location, the hotel library itself is quite adequate as a common room for guests - it's Soho, what are you doing staying inside your hotel? Transatlantic visitors may find the size and facilities not to their taste or use (judging by the grumbler in Reception) - but for us, it was great. The building is 300 years old, remember, and has been converted with great thought and sensitivity. Can't wait for an excuse to go back.
