We both loved this hotel. The location is great for restaurants, bars and shopping. The welcome was warm and friendly and the room was lush (Superior double) with just the right shade of farrow and ball paint (Moles breath?!)
The whole place feels ancient with it's sloping floors and wonky doors but that's all part of the charm.
The bed was super comfortable and breakfast very tasty.
The only downside is that it was pretty stuffy (although to be fair we didn't play around with the air con) and it was noisy outside (we were at the front of the building and would request a room at the back next time) but we knew it would be so and it certainly didn't spoil our experience.
All in all we really (REALLY) enjoyed our one night stay and will definitely use this hotel again, hopefully before long. Thank you Hazlitts team, Fee and Alistair.

Room Tip: We were in The Prussian Resident room - it was gorgeous and had a bath as well as a shower (in the b...

Super cute, historic, and smack in the middle of Soho. Four poster beds! Great staff. Cheaper than other hotels in the area. Nightlife and late night restaurants and bars at your doorstep. No gym, but if you need a wicked super English place to crash whilst getting your exercise walking around London, can't beat it.

Just stayed for one night in the Jonathan Swift room - can't fault the hotel. It is quite expensive, but it is lovely. Friendly and helpful staff, a lovely intimate ambience and a beautiful hotel cat! Our room was delightful - more like staying in a loved family home than a hotel. Very clean, lovely breakfast delivered to our room and very quiet. The bed is a little on the tiny side, but a vast bed wouldn't really fit in with the antique interior so we see why they have a standard size double. A lovely stay and thanks to all the staff who were so helpful. We will return when next in London.

If you're tired of beige bedrooms, then I recommend Hazlitt's. This boutique hotel offers real charm in the fantastic location of Central Soho.

Our bedroom was a plushly upholstered delight, containing a superbly comfortable four-poster bed and an ornate en-suite with roll-top bath. Double-glazed windows ensured that the sound of nearby nightlife was kept out of earshot. Free, unlimited wifi and air-conditioning were welcome mod-cons.

Yes, the floorboards creaked and we had a work-out walking up to our third floor room with no lift, but a I am sure that any guests who are less able-bodied would be accommodated on the lower floors by the incredibly helpful staff.

Hazlitt's has a wonderful air of eccentricity and is a total delight. We would not hesitate to re-book.

We stayed a Hazlitt's after finding it a year ago during a visit to Ronnie Scott's.

As a birthday treat for me, my husband and I booked into Hazlitt's Duke of Monmouth Suite.
The suite itself was spectacular, with every comfort, you could want.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, however the manager, Fergal, was exceptional.
There was an issue with our suite, which had the potential to spoil our stay. Not only was the manager ready to roll up his sleeves to try to resolve the problem but also went the extra mile to compensate us for any potential disappointment.
We left feeling that our stay was important and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hazlitt's need to hold on to this manager. If word gets around, I'm sure he will be head hunted.

Room Tip: This hotel is ideally situated for Soho and Theatre land. You get what you pay for. Speak to the sta...

Booked early and got a great rate on this 1718 inn. Room was very charming. Great library and meeting room to bring back work colleagues or have a meeting in. Great location, tube, bike rental all right there. Only complain is they turned off the air con when you left the room so it was a little stuffy when you returned but I told the staff and they did not do it again. Would stay again if a good rate was available.

Room Tip: I was in Sir William Ross room - with fireplace, claw tub, overall nice but did not see others to co...
