Good points: close to all amenities in London and there was hot water.
Bad points: bed was broken, the bath was rusty, it looked like a child had completed the silicone around the bathroom, I was concerned about walking barefoot on the carpet as i wasn't convinced it was clean and the majority of the staff could really do with some customer service training. There was a large damp stain running down 1 wall, an attempt to cover it had been made but it wasn't successful. The window didn't close properly and if you are on the ground floor be aware the underground runs below the hotel.

The manager / owner apologized about the issues and promised to get the bed fixed but didn't, which just added to a very disappointing stay at the hotel.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and I really think they should consider putting some money into making the property a little better and ensuring their staff smile and follow up on issues. I know running a hotel is difficult as I have run properties for years. You can make a silk purse out of a pigs ear as long as it's clean, warm, maintained well and the staff are welcoming
and friendly. Sorry but that is not the case here.

Stayed in London for one night. Friendly staff but everything very very tired. Shower was nothing but a cold trickle and I couldn't wash my hair. They did try with tea and coffee in the room etc but I didn't want to walk on the carpet without my shoes and the spare pilllow was without a pillowcase and it was stained yellow. Fantastic location though, right near oxford street. I know this is a budget hotel but still for a £100+ a night It was hard to justify the price.

I stayed here last night, I wish I had viewed the room before paying. The bed sheets were clean but that's where the good points end, The carpet was filthy in the corners, the bedrrom furniture was old fashioned and worn. The bathroom was dirty, especially the shower curtain which had mould on. The net curtain at the window was filthy.
The hotel smelt in the common areas and also my room.

Did not stay for breakfast

People there are much better hotels for the same value in places like Bayswater!

Room Tip: Stay at another hote

Had an overnight stay with family, 3 rooms. Perfect for what we needed. Easy walking distance from Euston station (& only £10 in taxi including tip for 5 of us) and just around the corner from the venue we were going to.
Yes it does need refurbishment but it was not expensive (at least for London) it was warm, had fully working ensuites, tea & coffee, tv and comfy bed. Ideal for flying visits dont know if I'd want to stay for a few days though.
Breakfast was good.
All in all I would stay there again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Double room no 1 was next to the kitchen so bit noisy in the morning if you want a long lie!

I stayed at the Hallam 3rd and 4th October. I had booked a single for two nights however when i saw the bed it was small but that was the only room left so i had no choice. I complained to the management the next day and they offered me a double room for a small upcharge which i accepted. On the whole the Hotel was ok altough a little bit dated. I would stay there again but most definitely not in a single room.

Location is perfect near 3 metro stations, short walking distance (5 min) to Regent Park and Oxfort Circus.
Price for London is very good, specially in this central location.
Breakfast is ok.

Room is very small and toitels/shower are old. Same for carpet and furniture. Even if this is probably clean, it does not look appealing.

I would still recommend this hotel as the prices in London are just crazy and I have seen hotel much worse than this one.

Stayed last night. Th eplace is old fashioned but when you just need a cheap bed for the night, do you really care.

Bedsheets were clean but old, again who cares

Breakfast was nice, incredibly quiet despite the location and I was towards the front of the hotel too.

Showers a little tempremental but fine
