“Don't understand the negativity!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

Stayed over for my partners birthday and was a little worried about the negative reviews. Check in was smooth, lifts shall we say a little on the small side...rooms a little small but very modern. In a great location, about a 20 min walk from Oxford street. Breakfast buffet is suprisingly good...good choice off English and continental buffet. Overall I would recommend this hotel and we are planning on returning to this hotel In the near future. Every member of staff we encountered was very friendly.

me and my boyfriend are currently staying here for 4nights (over my bday and valentines) it was a great deal and even reading these reviews we still booked it...we found the hotel easy, checked in fast (reception are friendly and nice, nothing rude/ignorant about them at all!) got to our room to find no faults at all! there is soooo much space (dont know why youd come to london to stay in a room so dont see why size matters), theres a huge comfy bed, big tv, big wardrobe and the bathroom is beautiful (best shower iv ever had!) theres a kettle with mugs and a choice of tea and coffee with sugar and milk... seriously cant understand these dreadful reviews, its a few mins from both overground and underground and the next street along has so many restaurants and shops (tescos express, sainsburys, boots etc) oh and onto breakfast, again what is with the complaints? theres so much choice (eggs sausage beans toast cereal yoghurts etc) and drinks (orange apple water coffee tea), always hot and fresh and there was always somewhere to sit and concidering its half term i find that amazing. seriously if you want to come to london, stay here, unless your picky there is absolutely nothing wrong with this place, great location, great price and great room!

I booked this hotel as part of a "super break" deal with a theatre show for my wife's Christmas. After booking I was dreading it due to the reviews about this place.

Well on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. Found our way to our room easy and then slowly opened the door to see what awaited us. Everything was fine. Clean room with a very nice bathroom and plenty of space for our 2 nights. Breakfast was good and had a decent selection.

The place was not "perfect" but it is all you need for what we were in London for (shopping and theatre shows). I don't fly all the way down from Scotland to sit and moan about a hotel room I won't be in apart from when I'm sleeping. The place was absolutely fine for what it's for. If you plan on going to London and spending your trip there sitting in a hotel watching TV then book the Hilton or the Ritz. If your going to watch some shows and do shopping or see the sights then this is absolutely fine for you. Don't heed all the bad reviews.

If you would like to sleep at night forget about this hotel. I have been kept awake by banging doors and the terrible, loud noises coming from the heating. I had to call the reception at 2 a. m. and ask them to do something since my heater seemed to explode for all the noise it was making. They solved my problem BUT since the walls are paper thin I could hear the same noises coming from the other rooms.

Absolutely avoid this hotel.
