Really poor hotel, lots of things wrong, too many to mention them all
Avoid room b2 at all costs if possible
Squeaky bed springs, really noisy as right next to breakfast room, tiniest sink I have ever come across, couldn't even get the kettle in to fill it up!
Breakfast is a joke
Avoid if you can

Large hotel, OK location, tiny rooms and dated facilities, breakfast room is small and like feeding time at the zoo, if you can get some sleep in this place you will have done well, loud doors slamming, fire alarms going off in the middle of the night, overall it's not the best and the price is over the top for what you get! Trust me when I say spend a little more somewhere else.

I knew that this hotel didn't have the best of reviews but booked it still since I wanted reasonable accommodation in the area.

The positives:
The location is fantastic. I had a room facing the garden so leafy view and quiet at night.
The room was small but quite frankly this is standard in the UK.
Cleanliness was also all right.

The negatives:
The fire alarm went off six times during my three night stay. Not only is this annoying, it is dangerous, too, since everyone is bound to ignore the alarm.
The breakfast is a bit of a joke, really. They couldn't cater for all the guests and the toaster capacity was shambles.
For internet access they charge 7 pounds a day. For someone who needs internet, this charge bumps the hotel up one price category where one should expect more.

Couldnt check in till 1300 but able to leave luggage in lobby whilst we went sight seeing. Rooms with mis matched furniture and matress's that were just awful and old. The curtains were ripped. The smoke alarm went off 4 times during our 1 night stay. The towels were frayed and like sandpaper and we had to request these.Carpets badly stained and had several iron marks on. The bathroom smelled of mildue and there were hairs around the outskirts of the bath.I went to run a bath and tried to change from shower only for the handle to fall off. The breakfast was pathetic with no toaster and staff (who tried their very best and always happy and friendly) bringing out 1 rack of toast every 10 mins. No croissants or ham for a continental breakfast??? Choice was very poor unless you like boiled eggs and cheese. Location was good and easy access to Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. This could be a gold mine if the owners gave it a lick of paint and a bit of TLC. Would I go back....no way in this state

great location for Hyde Park and other central London sights, close to central line tube so good connections to other areas. Room very small for 2 adults & 2 grown up children. Shower good but shower cubicle broken and curtain did not prevent wet floors. Beds and other furniture bit tatty but only there overnight so not that bothered.
