The best thing has got to be the location, it's ideally placed to see London, very central! Good basic rooms and very nice clean bathroom. Recommend for families

We got a budget room price and the initial room allocated was very budget. Probably a spare staff bedroom. In the basement with window opening onto a staff patio. Carpet was curling up and the shower had no curtain. Room actually looked like it had been used that day already. HOWEVER: we returned to reception, explained we were not happy and were re-allocated without fuss to a room on the 3rd floor. Not grand by any means BUT very clean and with what we needed for a one night stay in London. Easy walk to Bayswater tube/kensington park etc. breakfast was adequate; choice of cereals, boiled eggs, cheese, toast, rolls and jams. Fruit salad was from a tin so didnt look too appetising and the OJ was obviously watered down! Tge staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was clean. At £69 for a night for two people it served its purpose.

One of the worst places I have stayed. It was average, with a pretty reception area, but went all down hill from there. If their descriptions of how old, musty, and worn down the rooms were it may not have seemed so bad, but the fact that they described the place as nice at all, was pathetic. We looked for a second pillow each from reception, and were told that the hotel did not have any more. All that was in the room were two wafer thin ones you wouldn't put out for your cat at night. The 'breakfast' was something they threw out to people just for the sake of saying they provided food, and the staff were the most unfriendly I have ever encountered. I have left writing this review for a few months to see if time would heal the disappointment of this place, but it just has appalled me to the point of never forgetting. Avoid, and from what I saw of the way they spoke to a group of French guests checking in in front of us, Don't go there if you like to be treated with respect.

Me and my ten years old son stayed for three nights. We had a room on the second floor facing the garden. The room was small but clean. We did not spend so much time in the hotel, but it was good enough to have as a base and the beds were comfy. Shower and toilet was nice. Tea and kettle in the room was nice. Breakfast was not the best but not the worst I have seen in London either. Boiled eggs, yoghurt, toast, cheese, marmalade. Juices were horrible. Nice staff, nice to be able to sit outside on a warm day. It was very warm and sunny when we were there and the room was really hot when we arrived, but we opened the window and that worked fine.
