Millennium Hotel London Mayfair
Ranked #442 of 1,078 Hotels in London

A great location for Mayfair and Park Lane and based on the comments below - it is considered good value. Plus points - a short walk North to Oxford Street and the attractions.
Helpful and friendly staff and the buffet breakfast is exceptional.
However, the venue is long overdue a complete overhaul.
A very dated hotel with tired rooms and fittings.
The hotel bars are ridiculously expensive so they have to be avoided if at all possible.
There are a number of good eateries and pubs around the vicinity so a walk (weather permitting) will be beneficial.

Room Tip: Avoid lower floors if booking in party season as music will be heard in the rooms.

Although it was a very nice hotel, clean and spacious. It is seriously dated! The decor in the rooms is awful, the bathroom door was practically falling apart and there was a lot of damage to the skirting boards. I also have to say a bedside light would be nice instead on the bedside table having a weak light underneath, which was utterly pointless.
Staff in general I personally found very snobby and unhelpful, with the exception of the restaurant staff who were incredibly friendly and down to earth. They knew what they were serving and kept on top of things considering how busy it was. The service was flawless. Location is very good, close to major tube stations and the all important Oxford Street. I personally wouldn't stay here again though. I have stayed in Travel Lodges which have had a higher standard.

I've been a few times at the Millennium Mayfair during my frequent trips to London and I believe it's great value for money. This time i was with my husband of a three days xmas shopping trip.
Rooms can be a little old fashioned and need some updating but overall position and service make up for it.
Staff is really professional and helpful. I have booked a superior room as I had previously stayed in a standard room and found it a little too small. Upon arrival We were asked if interested in upgrading to club and We decided it was worth the money as cheaper than the original quoted price. With an extra 150 pounds we got breakfast, wifi, a discount of 15 pounds per day on food and access to club level where at any time of the day we could get drinks, tea/coffee and some snacks.
One night we ordered room service as we were quite tired and found food really nice and price quite reasonable.
I usually stay at five stars hotels in mayfair area on business trips and they are a lot more expensive than the Millennium while often offering same level of service and just a little better quality rooms.

The hotel is quite a tired looking place once you get past the immaculate reception area. The curtains in my room looked as though they had seen better days and smelt quite musty. The en suite was clean and bright but the bath was too small for me. We had a conference at the hotel and can say that probably one of the worst I've experienced. The food was cold, the coffee was cold and not enough cups etc and so had to keep waiting whilst they went to replenish stocks. The evening meal was a turkey dinner that looked as though it had been sat n a work surface for at least half an hour drying out. I was going to change to the vegetarian option until I saw the look of disappointment on the faces of those already tucking in. Not the hotel in Mayfair I will be returning to.

The hotel is on Grosvenor Square, which we found lovely and quiet. It's really handy for a couple of tube stations and just a 5 minute walk from Oxford Street. All our rooms were a good size and very comfortable. Bathroom was great with a powerful shower. The hotel looked good - plenty of marble in the foyer, lots of parquet flooring, deep rugs and polished brass. The doorman and the concierge were both really nice and really helpful, but the reception staff couldn't find our booking - even with the confirmation number - and it took 3 attempts and over an hour to get our rooms. Breakfast was a shambles - I think we ended up in an overspill function room and there didn't seem to be enough crockery and cutlery to go around. We had to wait over 20 minutes for toast. We paid for breakfast in advance so got it at a discounted rate of just under £17, but it definitely wasn't worth it! Eat out - there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: You're better overlooking the square at the front of the hotel - the taxis and deliveries come i...

We were at Millennium Mayfair during the WTM expo. We chose this hotel based on its location and the brand recognition. Location is trully excellent. Right on the grosvenor square and 5 minutes walk from oxford street and bond street tube station. However the hotel itself was disappointing. Rooms, are just too dated and a renovation is overdue. Beds were too soft and deformed. All the furnishings, carpets, doors has to be replaced.
Bathrooms were small but they seemed to be renovated recently.
So if you only care about the location, go for millennium mayfair but if you also prefer a nice room with it, stay away.

I've stayed here on several trips to london. The service is always excellent. The rooms and hotels appears a little tired now however, the location and convenience of parking always do it for me. It's a few minutes walk from bond street, oxford street and the tube. There also some great restaurants nearby.
