Stayed here on business. Everything was ok.
Negs- Corridor smelt of smoke, shower curtain was ripped, wouldn't have used the bath, very noisy cleaners.
Bed ok, clean, towels very though. Convenient location next to Gloucester road tube. Handy supermarkets

The last time I stayed in this hotel, approximately one year ago, a mistake was made over my booking, resulting in my being given a twin room rather than the double I had booked. When one stays in IHG hotels for 56 nights in one year, one can be fairly sure of booking the 'right' room. Today, on arrival, I was told I had been upgraded to an Executive room (pause for applause at their generosity). In actual fact, I had BOOKED an executive room, as I wanted to extra space this usually affords. Given that the room was costing me over £200, I felt this was only reasonable.

In terms of size, the room was half the size of the Executive Room at the Holiday Inn Scotch Corner where I stayed earlier this week, whilst being double the price. The fittings i.e. free mineral water and bar of chocolate, bathrobe and slippers, sofa were all there, but the room was undoubtedly small. Not the sort of room in which I could relax, or work out, as is my habit on business.

The décor of the hotel corridors is tired and not that much different from the 1980s in terms of style. Overall, once you go past Reception, this is the sort of hotel that could be so much more, but gives the impression that they cannot be bothered.

This hotel probably does not have to 'fight' for business, given its proximity to Knightsbridge and the Royal Albert Hall, amongst other attractions. It is within walking distance of the Albert Memorial, the Natural History Museum and Hyde Park. This is part of the problem. When business comes easy, why make an effort?

Perhaps because I, and probably other guests, may look at the Crowne Plaza across the road when next looking for a hotel in this area?

Room Tip: Not sure an Exec Room is worth the extra cost in terms of space

I stayed in a standard room for two nights. The view across London was impressive from my 10th storey room, though it would be better still if the windows weren't so filthy!

The bed was comfortable enough, and storage was par for the course, but the bathroom was a real let-down. The stained tub was adequate for a quick shower but not somewhere you would wish to bathe. The other issue with the bathroom is that it's just so tiny; at the risk of seeming crude, when sitting on the toilet people of above average height might need to keep the door open so there's somewhere to put their knees! Certainly if your visit to London is accompanied by visions of soothing your weary toes in a relaxing, steamy bath, prepare yourself for disappointment.

Breakfast was generally satisfying, but queues at peak times are awful. I gave up one Saturday morning and came back half an hour later, by which time all that had changed was that they'd run out of complementary croissants for the crowd in the corridor!

Oh, and give the pancake machine a wide berth. I was tempted in by this gimmick, and waited approximately four minutes for it to prepare my 'freshly made' pancakes; when eventually they plopped off the machine's conveyor belt, I was presented with two thin discs, each about three inches in diameter!

On the upside, all the staff I encountered were very professional, and I was especially impressed by the patience of the receptionists. However, the overall impression was merely reasonable, and I've definitely had much better hotel stays.

This was my second stay at this hotel. It is a great location very close to the Gloucester Rd tube stop. Also 8-10 min walk to the museums, 12-15 min to Royal Albert and the Royal College of Music. Rooms were well kept, very friendly and prompt house keeping crew. I particularly enjoy the breakfast, get a voucher from the front desk the night before for a bit of a discount. I will definitely return the next time life takes me to London!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights from 06/12/13 as part of a Leisuretime trip. I cannot believe the negative reviews by some people on TP pages. Our stay was fantastic. Spotlessly clean and spacious room, room cleaned daily and towels changed daily. The breakfast was amazing, plenty of selection. ALL the staff were friendly, efficient and polite. We will definetly stay there again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

We have stayed here quite a few times over the years, whenever we fancy a break in London. The rooms are clean and reasonably well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board. Reception staff are pleasant and keen to please. The bed was comfortable and in our executive room it was nice to have a settee to sit on. Higher up the hotel, the views across London are pretty good too! It's close to Gloucester Road tube so very convenient and just a few minutes walk to the museums of South Kensington and Harrods.
Service in the lounge area was good but we didn't eat in the attached pub so can't comment on that.
A few gripes....why only one bath robe and one glass in a room for two? Corridors can be noisy with people coming in late and talking loudly but thats down to the selfishness of people and not the hotel.
Generally, no complaints and have booked a suite for April so must be reasonably OK.

Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum has a perfect location in beautiful Kensington. Literally next to Gloucester Road Tube station makes it easy to get around and reach most of London´s major attractions. Picadilly line takes you to Picadilly Cirkus in a few minutes, and to Heathrow Airport in 45 minutes. Plenty of restaurants in the area.
The hotel is not a pretty sight from outside. A humongous concrete block it is. The staff is nice and welcoming and check-in is very efficient. Rooms are small but bright and well appointed. Good sized bathroom. Housekeeping is good and rooms are clean. BUT the windows looks like they have never been cleaned. They view could have been magnificent but due to very dirty windows it is difficult to see anything. I stayed at this hotel ages ago and then it was the same problem. You have a choice of pillows and that is very nice so you don´t just have any miserable pillow. However, the mattress is very hard at least for my taste.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as high up as possible. If you are lucky to get a room with cleaned windows you will...
