“great location.”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

the St Giles Central London Hotel is located at Tottenham Court Road Tube station. very close to Soho and Oxford st. great location but the hotel is not personal at all. very basic. it is unfortunate they do not supply free wifi to guests, you pay 5 pound per hour!!! ridiculous. the gym is also 5 pounds per visit. Breakfast at the VQ was good, the staff friendly at least and quick.

Just back from a 3 night stay here, travelling with husband and 3 kids, aged 12, 13 and 15. We had a triple room and twin bedded room. Had a great time, hotel perfectly located, yes the rooms are small but very clean and I'm quite fussy in that respect. Did not have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Staff were polite and helpful. I would definitely return here. If you don't want to wait a long time for the lifts book a room on the first floor. Location is second to none. Don't be put off by negative reviews!

Stayed here again on a Theater break recently. We upgraded to a deluxe room this time and found that the extra was well worth it because of the extra space. Again excellently placed for the West end. Good breakfast for £7.50 which set us up for the day. The only down side this time was that we where served drinks in the bar and charged a service charge which we weren't expecting. Apart from that another good stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel during a three day work trip. The hotel location is great with very easy access to Tottenham Court Underground station and there are many shops and restaurants in close proximity.
The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms are on the small side and the bathrooms are tiny, but this is fine if all you want is somewhere to sleep.
Pretty well priced rooms for Central London.

Location is great and at a reasonable price (for London that is).
Rooms are not big and a little outdated. As it is a rather large hotel, traffic jams might occur at the elevators during peak hours. The breakfast to go option would be preferable as the 'real breakfast' isn't really worth the money. Better go to a pub and have a proper English breakfast.

Check in quick, room fine looking out onto street and theatre, picked this hotel as we booked to see We Will Rock You virtually next door.
Room fine, bed comfortable, bathroom small but adequate. sink blocked, informed front desk but no one came to fix.
Breakfast was ok, sausages no taste but everything else was good.
ideal hotel for the price.
Hotel bar was the best we have ever been in in London, good 70,s music, great atmosphere
Coming back with a large group in October and will look to book.

We stayed here in a junior suite for the weekend , the hotel reception were very efficient and polite , we went to our room which was large and spacious. The room had a safe and very comfortable bed. Slight down side was the hair dryer , cable was very tangled . The tv was very poor and had bad reception soom channels were non existent . For £159 a night it was ok . The concierge staff mainly john were very helpfull and could not do enough for us . A popular hotel with a great location .
