Not the best value hotel, but not bad. The room was clean, tidy, well presented and comfortable though getting into the room through the hotel reservation system was a considerable challenge. Staff weren't especially helpful but weren't hostile either, though the breakfast staff were very quick to allocate a table to new customers if you went to pick up a pastry or another glass of juice. Despite being on the Strand, it was surprisingly quiet.

Positives: Clean and tidy room, Surprisingly quiet, fantastic location.

Negatives: Reservations were mixed up, breakfast staff seemed eager for customers to finish breakfast very quickly!

this grand hotel overlooks the Savoy but feels no threat. The service is uncomplicated, unpretentious and quality in all respects. it provides everything you could wish for in an accessible and comfortable way. the location is ideal for the west end, the shops and it places you in walking distance of Londons heart. which makes the price value for money. This makes the room price very much value for money. Quick tip, although the hotel breakfast is well stocked, check out the local cafes, and pubs for cheaper options.

Stayed here this weekend, very nice well worth what we paid for one nights stay in a double superior room with breakfast. The rooms are good and very cozy but bathroom was a bit small. It's a good location for all attractions/shopping etc.

We have stopped here many times over the years and find it to be a great value hotel in the heart of London.

Quick and easy online booking, pleasant staff on check in, standard double room was clean and had enough space, free tea, coffee and wifi, clean bathroom. The whole room was modern and not dated (the hotel has been undergoing a refurbishment for a number of years now)

The location is what sells the hotel. Round the corner from Covent Garden and most theatres in walking distance. Two tube stations in quick walking distance. Lots of pubs and restaurants also within the area.

We have found that if you want a good value hotel in the middle of London then this is the place to stay.

Stoppped for one night, as we were seeing The War Horse and very well positioned for theatre land. Our room was on the 6th floor, and although a little small was clean & spotless with tea & coffee making facilities. We also had breakfast, which was buffet style we a good varierty of food well cooked. Would certainly recommend and use again.

Every time I go to London I always stay in this hotel.
You can go walking pretty much everywhere and if you go to an evening show or out, it will only be a short walking distance. No buses, no tube, no cabs.

The breakfast is great and the rooms are OK. Best thing is the Free WiFi in every room. Works perfectly!

Sometimes is a bit overpriced but I cannot find a similar hotel for that amount of money anywhere near that area.

Perfectly situated on the Strand it has great access to the traditional covent garden markets and also a subway that takes you direct to the underground tubes. However the rooms especially the bathrooms could have been abit cleaner and looked like they were in need of a little bit of care and updating.
