Great location. Pretty much in the centre of London, but being slightly off Trafalgar Square means it's still quite. Looking out of your window over the London skyline is pretty nice. Within easy reach of the tube or train, and within easy reach of attractions such as Houses of Parliament, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, West End, etc etc. But good location for just having a wander around the area. Room was very well decorated, staff friendly. Easy check in and check out. Highly recommended. However, if you have pre-paid, don't let them take your card details as they will temporarily hold the funds, meaning you can't use your own money because they've held extra money that they shouldn't have, leaving you without money!

Room Tip: Try and ask for a suite if you can, facing the front, on one of the higher floors.

I have consistently used Trip Advisor to make sections for accommodations and once again another success based upon past reviews. The Royal Trafalgar is an ideal location for the sight seeing trip. It's on a quiet street and doesn't have much "street appeal" per se but inside is clean, quiet, refined atmosphere. Reception& concierge were polite and very helpful with inquiries. Initially we were in room 413, which is a spacious corner room designed with assistive devices. Wonderful amenities for someone in need of them but awkward for us. Upon request we were moved to another room the next day. Smaller room, but the bathroom was more convenient. Quiet considering it's in the heart of London. We only had buffet breakfast once in restaurant - mediocre food, though price was good relative to full English breakfast elsewhere

Stayed at the Royal Trafalgar for 1 night for a show in the O2. Excellent location close to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Soho all very close. Staying in a standard room which was small but clean and with a great shower (no bath). Breakfast was perfectly adequate and served by nice professional staff. Only 1 complaint, the hotel from the outside looks like one large building, however it is split into 2 with offices on the first and second floor and hotel rooms on the remaining floors. I don't have a problem with this but the fire alarm system in the offices went off at 6 in the morning and as its essentially 1 building the hotel has to be evacuated until the fire brigade can get the key holder for the offices to shut it off.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade from a standard room as they are quite small.

Stayed at the Royal Trafalgar for one night for business. I can recommend. In case your travelling from Heathrow, take the tube (Piccadilly line) into the city. It's only a 3/5 minute walk from Piccadilly Circus to the hotel. By tube it's approx. 50 minutes from terminal 4 to Piccadilly circus. The location is excellent. Close to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly and Soho. Do consider upgrading to a larger room since the standard rooms are awfully small. Windows open so in case it's hot or stuffy you need not rely on a/c only! Rooms are clean, well kept and bathroom is good. Wifi is all right but have seen better and more stabile connections.
Did not have breakfast in the hotel since I needed to cath a very early flight.

Room Tip: Since the location is not on a main street, it's quiet. Windows open. A/c seems to be working fi...

Title of this review says it all... Great hotel and perfect location for the following: Theatreland, Oxford Street, Regent St., Trafalgar Sq., Piccadilly, Soho and Covent Garden. I could go on..... None of the above more than 15 mins walk away... 8 mins average.... Great Breakfast and the booking with Olotels thru Trivago was at least £80 cheaper than the usual bunch of offerings... The only thing I would say is that there was no bath in our room, just a fab power shower cubicle, so you must request a bath if you want one. ... All in all tho you wont be disappointed after booking this accomodation...

Room Tip: 6th floor was good...quiet etc... the only thing we did wrong was not request a room with a bath as...

Visited this hotel on the 13th April for afternoon tea with my husband. We had a voucher through KGB deals. It was a thoroughly delightful experience. There was a good selection of sandwiches and cakes on a tree tier stand. We had champagne to start. We were asked if we would like tea or coffee with our tea and we opted to have coffee towards the end of our meal and were then asked which coffee we would like. The staff were extremely friendly and polite, especially the lovely Spanish waitress who served us. The sandwiches were very fresh, as were the cakes and the coffee was lovely and hot. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will go again.
