My husband and I were attending an event in Trafalgar Square so really wanted accommodation nearby. This hotel was perfect - located a very short walk (two minutes, if that) right off the Square, but on a quiet side street so we didn't face any of the hustle and bustle of central London. We were treated like kings from the moment we arrived. Despite arriving early, our room was available - however, we asked about an upgrade (after reading reports of similar guests doing this on Tripadvisor) and were offered a discounted upgrade to a room with a king size bed. We took this and were not disappointed - the room was lovely. Massive windows almost all the way around the room, so plenty of natural light. The biggest, comfiest bed I have ever slept in - it was bliss. Ample pillows and bedding. The complimentary toiletries were actually the best I've experienced in a hotel - they provided a separate bottled hair conditioner, which was a very thoughtful touch often overlooked by other hotels. As a woman who relies (like all other women I know!) on conditioner as well as shampoo, I've had plenty of bad experiences of other hotels offering 'conditioning shampoo' that is not conditioning whatsoever, so I was thrilled that a separate conditioner was provided along with the shampoo. The toiletries were of high quality and kind to skin. The TV was good, with a choice of channels. The rain shower was AMAZING. We did hit a small issue, where the shower did not drain after our first use, and when we called down for a maintenance guy he never showed up, so we had to call again before they finally came up. However, the situation had resolved itself by then. However, the rest of our trip was so good that this was only a small blip that didn't really ruin our stay in any way. Breakfast was cheaper if you bought a voucher from the front desk, so we bought this, and although hotel breakfasts are always really expensive, it was a good, tasty breakfast. Lots of choice of cereals, pastries, yoghurt, and hot foods - the usual items like bacon, eggs, sausages, etc. A choice of juices, and tea/coffee and toast brought on demand by very, very friendly hosts. We were so impressed by this hotel that we will definitely stay here again.

Just spent 4 nights there, booked an exec king room direct with hotel, got a fab deal, £500 (no breakfast included).

Room huge, everything very new and well appointed and intelligently designed. Quiet location just behind the National Gallery, couldn't be better.

Staff all very friendly, which is unusual in London. Would stay there again!

What a fantastic location this hotel is in. As soon as you enter the hotel the staff were fantastic and were the same for the whole duration. Was given a complimentary room upgrade. The room was great nice big bed very clean all through and a good shower. A slight blip was that the air con didn't work too brilliant as we were lucky enough to be there in the very warm weather. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there is a huge choice on the doorstep to choose from. Got a great deal especially as this was the last days of the paralympics. I would fully recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

My daughter and I had Afternoon Tea with a glass of sparkling wine and thoroughly enjoyed it! All the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was nicely presented and fresh. The wine was well chilled - and good - and the tea was hot and plentiful.
We had a choice of places to sit and chose the squashy sofas in the lounge area by reception which was very comfortable, enabling us to 'people watch' and enjoy a long chat. The staff periodically checked if we wanted more tea etc but certainly didn't make us feel that we should move on and the whole experience was relaxed and pleasurable.
The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and shopping with Trafalgar Square and the art galleries on the doorstep.
I would recommend to anyone on a visit to London.
A great way to spend a relaxed hour or so
