I stayed here as I was attending a conference in the hotel.
The room was a good size and the bed comfortable.
There was a problem checking in as I was booked in through work and the receptionist took quite a while to locate the credit card entered into the system to pay, but got there in the end!
Breakfast was typical buffet style with a passable but forgetable full english (warm bacon, overdone hash browns and half done tomato's).
For a work trip the hotel was ok, but I wouldnt choose it for a private weekend trip.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post,
I’m sorry to read that you experienced a delay at check in and thank you for your patience whilst the team member verified the billing instructions. I have passed your comments regarding breakfast to the chef and his team as this has been a key area of focus for us recently. Thanks again for your invaluable feedback.
Kind regards
Ian

Stayed in this hotel with my sister on Monday. The foyer is lovely.Clean and very posh! Our room was on 1st floor. This floor is in much need of decoration. The wallpaper ws peeling off the walls in the corridor. The actual room again was very old and tired. Needs an up do. We ate in the brassiere and the food was lovely. The staff very nice and friendly. We went for drink in the bar which was very disappointing. Looked drab and dim. The chairs were flat and uncomfortable. The girl couldnt wait to get the bill paid and we felt harrassed. Next morning before checking out pulled the toilet lid down (first time since check in) to find the toilet hadnt been cleaned!! There was old urine on the back of the toilet bowl. Disgusting. When we told them at the desk, they said we should have told them earlier and they would have sent up housekeeping. I replied to that it should have been done before we moved in. Only just got a weak sorry and "we will make a note to have it cleaned". Outrageous. I replied if the toilet isnt clean then is the towels and sheets clean. Who knows. Not very satisfactory and would not go there again.

My fiancee and I stayed here on a recent weekend trip to London and loved it. The location is the main selling point for this hotel it is within a stones throw of Tower Bridge and many other tourist sites. The hotel itself was great, it was clean, well designed, the staff were polite and the rooms were of a very good standard. Little tip: At the hotel there is a marina to the back-there is a fantastic Italian restaurant near the marina. Well worth a trip.

We stayed in this hotel last year just overnight and came back this year for a two night stay. We again had a lovely view of the river. The hotel itself could do with a good refurb., as it is getting rather shabby in the corridors and rooms, with wallpaper peeling off and flaking paint. Even so would still use it again as it is in such a convenient place for sightseeing.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post,
I am really glad to read that having stayed with us last year you returned this September. I understand and appreciate your comments on the décor of some of the corridors and rooms. This is an ongoing project for us with the majority already completed however we continue to focus on improvements.
We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Kind regards

Such a shame we were only there one night but the experience was just great. Our room overlooked St Katherines dock waterfront and the night view was very pretty. The Gloriarna - built for the Jubilee - was moored with in that view and it was great to see it live. Lots of inexpensive bars and cafes on that waterfront to use if you did not want to pay the extra surcharge in the hotel!
We were lucky enough to see Tower Bridge raaised whilst enjoying our drinks in the bar and that was a great experience.
Cannot fault this for position, cleanliness and quality. Staff great - breakfast too!

Room Tip: High floor - Tower view

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post,
I’m thrilled to read you had a great stay with us. The Gloriana has been a real talking point whilst moored in the Docks and it’s great for our guests to have the chance to see it. Whilst there are plenty of bars around the hotel; the view from the Xi Bar is unique and as the service charge is optional, this is such a good way to start your evening.
I hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back again soon.
Kind regards
Ian

Stayed here for our first wedding anniversary last weekend in September. Hotel was nice so was the room the only thing I wasn't very impressed by was that when we checked our bags in we were asked what view we would like and we said the bridge so were allocated a room on the fourth floor, when we came to collect our keys the number had been scribbled out and we were allocated a room on the second floor which was a view of the dock, this is a nice view but I don't understand why they allocate us the room we requested then took it away without a word. The hotel itself is in a great location you feel your slightly out of the city which is nice, great to walk along south bank it takes you straight to the London eye which has loads of street entertainment (about a 3 mile walk) very good though. Would recommend the lunch cruise on the Thames with city cruise if you look around the net you can get good deals we got almost a 2 hour cruise with a 2 course meal with tea and coffee for 2 people £22.50 and the food was very good.

Breakfast was good but might be worth asking what times are less busy. Room was clean not massive but had everything needed.

Mainly due to the location I would stay here again if there price is right.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post,
I’m so pleased you chose to spend such a special occasion as your first wedding anniversary with us. I understand how confusing it must have been to be given a different room than initially allocated and I regret that the team did not explain the reason for the change.
Breakfast at weekends is particularly busy with many guests choosing later in the morning, so to avoid delays we do advise guests to come down a little earlier if possible.
I hope you will visit us again.
Kind regards
Ian

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in September.
Because we booked well in advance but prices subsequently reduced we were offerred complimentary breakfast and upgraded to a deluxe room.
What a terrific room - Thames views, very big, extremely modern and clean.
Staff were very accommodating.
Not cheap but cheap and excellent rarely go together.
No complaints - definitely a 4+ star experience!
