Stayed here recently for a work trip, and was delighted at the price given the hotel's central location. The room was nice, a decent size, with a good selection of channels on the tellie. And I loved the free coffee machine and breakfast bars in the lobby; that was a nice touch.

The self-checkout process was brilliant (like the check-in machines at the airport), with a superbly helpful lady on hand in case of any problems. If you're like me and always sprinting out the door in the morning, you'll find this an excellent novelty.

I'll be staying here again when I'm back in town again.

I've stayed both on this particular club quarters and others with my wife while she's been on business trips.

This is a standard hotel with nothing extra. But as we are in London it's above the local average just by being clean and having no strange staff.

In true London style the corridors can be quite dwindling at first and you may find that you can't find your way. There are many fire escape maps however that will assist you.

The rooms are adequate with a water boiler, an alarm clock with iPod dock and air conditioning. In the winter it can get a bit chilly and the heater makes quite some noise. But it tends to be quiet from the other guests. You can get a refrigerator on request.

The restaurant "the gaucho" is Ok if a bit over priced. The breakfast is served there and not quite worth it. Instead I recomend those of us that are peckish in the morning to buy breakfast in one of the many stores or venues that can be found nearby.

The service is often smiling and always greets you. The cleaning staff do a good job but can be hard too keep away when you wish some privacy. One time they knocked after they had opened the door.

The lobby is smallish and quite crowded around the start and end of the work day. There is a computer for printing boarding passes, some magazines and some tea and coffe.

Worth nothing is that they have the genuine "club quarters smell" that I have grown used too around the workd. It's oddly familiar. Also the furniture in the rooms are the same as ever.

It's the Mc Donalds of business hotells: you almost always get the same experience, no matter where you live.

This hotel is very close to the buses and the tube but if you wish to go on sight seeing I would recommend the Club Quarters at trafalgar instead.

Clean facilities. Not many frills. Quiet. If you are not already aware, you need to know that if you are staying at this hotel on a weekend few if any of the local pubs or restaurants will be open because it is in the City.
Our room was poorly designed. It ahd a double bed but the there was a light and bedside cabinet on only one side of the bed. This may seem petty but in a modern hotel it should not happen.

We had a good deal on the rate so we were prepared to put up with the downsides and woud probably stay here again provided the price was right.

The service at this hotel is just not good enough. As a lone female travelling all day on a Sunday for a business meeting on the Monday, I arrived at 5pm, really tired and just wanted to relax in my room with some room service. I was checked in, in 30 seconds. That should be good right? But it didn't feel good at all. They just didn't care. I was given no information on breakfast (not included in price) or the hotel amenities and I wasn't even offered a morning newspaper! The room was average but I actually felt like I was staying in a Travelodge for twice the price. Bearing in mind London City is dead on a Sunday evening and nothing is open, this hotel only offered a vending machine and a water machine which I had to find myself. And as for room service offered, its extortionate, with a steak sandwich being offered at £15 (fillet steak £40!) This hotel is cheap in every way other than the room service and the staff are uninformative and unhelpful. I'd recommend you book another 4 star in the City.

This isn't a bad location if you are planning to sightsee and are keen on using the underground. The station is less than a block away. The hotel is within a very short distance of the Tower Bridge and Tower of London. The nightlife isn't great, but again, if you are adventurous and get a good deal on this hotel, it is a good choice. If you are here on business in the area, it would be a fantastic location.

One thing for the start: I hadn't have such a fast check-in in a long time. Pretty good!
It's very well located (between Bank, Liverpool street and Monument) and has many nice English pubs around.

The rooms are clean and spacious but pretty old-fashioned - both the floors/walls as well as the furniture.

--> There are definitely nicer hotels, but you will survive it :-)

Stay here frequently on business in London. It is a decent place in the middle of the city.

Comfortable beds and efficient rooms with a great price quality ratio for London City - would not recommend for tourist travel given location but for b travel its great.
