Stayed here for a week. Had a small single room but nice double bed, TV and ample space. Room cleaned each day. Hotel staff very friendly and efficient.

Only downside was the shower. Not that powerful and a little cold.

Would stay again

We stayed here from 25-27 Jan and were pleased with our room. We had an issue with the window in our room not closing entirely on the first night and the manager came to try and fix it but to no avail. He said maintenance would have it sorted next day. Place was fully booked so he was unable to move us but said if it wasn't fixed we would be moved. Second night we found out the window had not been fixed when we arrived back to reception and so the reception staff set about relocating us in the hotel. We received a FAB room that was deluxe instead of the standard we had booked as a gesture because of the window problem. Just fab. Staff are great. It's very clean and nice and warm. I think the reviewer saying they didn't get what they expected with regard to special mattress and robes etc was expecting Ambassadors BLOOMSBURY. A totally different hotel and certainly not as budget as this one. This is a great little hotel and we have stayed 4 times now and have no complaints.

Stayed for a night in January and as the title says you get more than £40 worth in London with this hotel. We paid £35 for a fish and chip supper in a pub so for £40 this place is a bargin

Granted it's not luxury but considering we checked in at 2, went out and was back at midnight it as just want we required. The rooms were small, basic but adequate. The sink leaked abit but the shower was warm.

Would definitely recommend if on a budget and not staying in the room long. I'll be using again

This hotel is in a fantastic location especially if you want to go to the natural history, science or V&A museums.

The room I was in on the first floor was tiny with no windows or natural light. The shower looked great but controlling heat was difficult. Wifi was too weak and I didn't bother to renew on the second night. Breakfast basic, limited choice but just about enough.

The room was very cheap though especially for Central London so feel I got what I paid for.

we stayed here for 2 nights recently and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is budget but was clean and modern and the bed was comfortable. We had a front facing room so there was some road noise but that did not stop us sleeping well
The only down side was our double bed was two singles pushed together. The room was sold as an executive room but I would definitely not call it executive.

Friendly and helpful staff made for a nice stay. Stayed here while on a break away to see a show and relax. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for top quality at affordable price. I will be happy to stay here again.

I stayed in a double room for one night with my boyfriend. The hotel lobby was very nice and the staff were friendly. Our room was on the fifth floor. It was a small room, but that really doesn't matter if what you're looking for is just a little base for going out in London. It wasn't a problem for us at all. The decor is not the best and it is need of a coat of paint etc, but again, this really isn't an issue if you're not looking for a five star hotel! The bedroom was neat and tidy and there was a hairdryer, television and tea and coffee making facilities- so it had everything we needed and was perfectly fine for our short stay.

The room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking a road, so it was a little bit noisy. But no so much that we had trouble sleeping.

Overall, if you're going to London for a quick stop, I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again myself. The main selling point is its fantastic location, which is a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station and just a little more to Earl's Court. There's also a big Sainsbury's 2 minutes away and several coffee shops and cafes.
